Rasheda Ali, author, speaker and daughter of legendary boxer Muhammed Ali, will be the mistress of ceremonies for the Create Your Dreams Awards Gala, Saturday May 6, 2006, at Caesars Palace.
She is the author of “I'll Hold Your Hand So You Won't Fall - A Children's Guild to Parkinson's Disease,” her recently released book inspired by watching the interaction between her children and her father — legendary boxer and former three-time Heavyweight Champion, Muhammed Ali, who suffers from Parkinson’s Disease.
Sponsored by the Moms in Business Network, the Create Your Dreams Awards is the only national awards program honoring working mothers and their outstanding accomplishments in the community and in business - all while raising a family.
National honorees will include: Linda Bergendahl Pauling, founder of the Make A Wish Foundation; Jane Deuber, Nicki Keohohou and Grace Keohohou Lee, founders of the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance; Carolyn Gable, CEO of New Age Transportation; Joy A. Thomas, senior director of Baxter Healthcare; Lillian Vernon, founder of the Lillian Vernon Catalogue Company; and Verizon Communications. Two grant recipients and 18 Nevada finalists will also be honored.
Reservations for the awards gala, which will benefit The Shade Tree, Nevada’s largest shelter for abused women and children in crisis, may be made online at www. createyourdreamsawards. com.
