Crepini™ & The Crepe Team™ Announces sofi™ Awards Finalists for Outstanding Specialty Foods of 2010 and Newly Developed Product Lines Debut 2010.
The results are in. The National Association for the Specialty Food Trade is pleased to announce the Silver Finalists for its 38th Annual sofi™ Awards for the outstanding specialty foods and beverages of 2010. A national panel of specialty food experts spent three days tasting and evaluating 1,570 products to select 125 Silver Finalists across 31 award categories.
The sofi Awards are considered the highest honor in the $63-billion U. S. specialty food industry. “To be a SOFI Finalist for the third time is simply the best recognition for our company and gives us inspiration to move towards developing new product lines. We are proud of our chefs who take our customers input and consistently deliver!” said Paula Rimer, Crepini Executive Officer and co-founder of Crepini & The Crepe Team companies.
Gold Winners will be selected at the NASFT’s Summer Fancy Food Show in New York, and will be announced at a red-carpet ceremony at the show hosted by executive chef Dan Barber of Blue Hill Restaurant, a leader in the artisanal food movement.
“The field was very competitive, with entries up 12 percent from 2009. The finalists represent the breadth and quality of our members’ distinctive products,” said Ann Daw, president of the NASFT. “It is clear that our industry is moving forward with innovation, inspiration and creativity.”
