This year marks the fourth time that Turner's Catering has selected a family to host on Thanksgiving Day. Each year Turner's Catering prepares a full course traditional Thanksgiving meal with all of the trimmings and serves it to a deserving family. In the past, they have served Thanksgiving meals to families who did not have the means to put together the traditional meal themselves, including a single mother with five daughters. This year, a special family in Savannah will be the recipient of this Turner's Catering tradition. The family, who wishes to have their name withheld, has had some financial and health challenges in 2004 and that is why owner, Gwen Turner, wants to honor them.

Each Thanksgiving, Turner contacts local churches, non-profit organizations or county services to find a family in need. She and her staff, then prepare the entire meal from stuffed turkey with dressing and gravy to pies and cakes.
Turner's Catering is a full-service licensed and insured off-site caterer. This eight year old company started in Montclair, New Jersey in 1996 and moved to metropolitan Atlanta in the year 2000.
