Seminar On “Blood safety and Prevention of Thalassaemia”

The Speakers at one-day seminar On “Blood safety and prevention of Thalassaemia” said that the International criteria for the developing blood banks in every nook and corner and maintenance of the standard of WHO is challenge of 21st century. The people should participate in the volunteerism and regular donation of blood every year.
Shahbaz Social Welfare Association Larkana organized the programs in collaboration with the hussaini blood bank Karachi including the health department.
On the occasion the Chief Guest and other speakers guests were Dr. Zahid Ansari Program Manager Sindh Safe Blood Transfusion Authority, Dr. Sarfraz H. Jafary Project Director Global Fund, Dr. S A Mujeeb In charge Central Laboratory (JPMC) Karachi, Gulsher Mangi General Secretary (SSWAL) Larkana, Dr, Syed Mahboob Shah M S (CMCH) Larkana, Ghulam Sarwer Chandio and others.
Speakers said the communities can active part in the blood screening and other 5 diseases through the volunteerism propose, speakers told 218 application have been received to the authority for registration of blood banks from deferent areas of the Sindh, while according the criteria 20 blood banks will be established at Taluka through this process, 12 further up grades in district. They said we are the responsible have for such blood bank laboratories according to the criteria in our area and aware the communities about the problems of Thalassaemia affected people in Sindh, speakers added that this is our prime responsibility to care in donation our blood and screen test is important for the further miseries, They said the Doctors are responsible in diseases due to the use of disposable syringes.
