Aviation Learning, recognized as a leading provider of technical maintenance and inspection training for aviation and aerospace, recently appointed David Taylor, a 30-year veteran in aviation maintenance technical and professional development training, to assume the leadership of for their new Professional Development division.
David's role will include the development and sales of Aviation Learning's Professional Development products and services that promotes the soft skills training of technicians and engineers on various subjects including Human Factors, Occupational Health & Safety, Leadership & Supervision, Quality Systems, and Operational Management.
Author of "Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance," David is respected throughout the world as a leading authority on Human Factors training for the aviation industry. David brings a wealth of experience to Aviation Learning. His career has ranged from an instructor in the Royal Air Force to Training Manager for the most successful Regional carrier in Europe, British Regional Airlines (Manx Airlines and British Airways Express). Along the way he has worked in academia at the Centre for Aircraft Maintenance Training, Barry College and His Highness Sheik ZayedÂs Technical Studies Institute, UAE. Practical Engineering experience was gained as Senior Development and Calibration Engineer at GAMCO, UAE, Technical Officer with Search and Rescue Services in Saudi Arabia and On the Job training at Manx Airlines and other operators.
David has been a CAA and FAA approved type-rated instructor for BOEING and AIRBUS aircraft and also worked at the Airbus Training School Aeroformation, Toulouse.
