Englewood, Colo. (PRWEB) April 27, 2006
Baxa Corporation, Denver-based manufacturer of medical devices for healthcare systems, has won a 2006 Business Marketing Association Gold Key Award. Hailed as Colorado’s most prestigious competition dedicated solely to business-to-business marketing communications, the BMA Gold Key Awards will be presented on April 28th at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in the Denver Center for Performing Arts. The 2006 BMA Gold Key Awards featured 47 award categories and competitions. The Baxa campaign was selected from business-to-business promotions whose production and media costs were at or under $50,000 during a 12-month period.
The winning entry was the Baxa “One Less Thing” campaign, which promoted the safety and ease-of-use of the Exacta-Med® Oral Dispensers. The tagline underscored how the product gives busy nurses and healthcare workers “one less thing” to worry about in their patient care. The campaign included three elements: magazine advertising, direct marketing and interactive media, and resulted in greater than a 12% sales increase year-on-year for the targeted products. The Baxa oral dispensers were the company’s first product, and still contribute greater than 30% of its revenues today.
This year’s Gold Key winners were selected by a team of three judges, each representing a different area of marketing expertise: academia, agency and corporate. Entries were reviewed and scored in four different categories – creativity, production, selling proposition and results. Baxa entered category A which was for Total B2B Campaigns.
“This is the first time our work has been recognized by the Business Marketing Association,” Eric Brettillo, Director of Creative Services for Baxa Corporation. “We were delighted to have not only the successful sales results, but the validation from our marketing peers.” The campaign was launched to promote renewed interest in the safety features and benefits of the oldest Baxa product.
