SkyWave Partners with Calian Technologies to Deliver Next Generation of Inmarsat Short Message Satellite Services
Industry growth drives adoption of advanced ACSE technology and establishes SkyWave as the global D+ provider to meet future demand and opportunities.

Calian Technologies Ltd. (TSX: CTY), a supplier of specialized technology services, today announced that its Systems Engineering Division (SED) has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract from SkyWave Mobile Communications Inc. for the provision of Inmarsat D+ Access Control and Signaling Equipment (ACSE). SED plans, designs and implements solutions for the world's leading satellite communications manufacturers, operators and service providers. The ACSE will significantly increase the capacity and reliability of SkyWave’s global D+ network and will be the first step towards future service enhancements. Service deployment will begin on the new ACSE in the early part of 2007.
