Franmar Chemical’s BEAN-e-doo® products have been appreciated by workers for 25 years. Now they’ve received a pat on the back from the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Six products from the BEAN-e-doo® line have received EPA-DfE recognition for their use of a safer chemistry. These include Franmar’s: BEAN-e-doo® Mastic Remover, BEAN-e-doo® Parts Washer, BEAN-e-doo® Asphalt Cleaner, BEAN-e-doo® Textile Ink Remover, BEAN-e-doo® Vinyl Cleaner, and BEAN-e-doo® Undercoating Remover.
The products were subject to testing and analysis, with conclusions that the products were formulated 1) with the environment and human health in mind; 2) to help promote a safer workplace; and 3) to contain certain attributes that may significantly reduce wear and tear on substrates, fabrics, and other surfaces with which the products come in contact, thereby extending their usable life.
Important in this agreement with the EPA is the proof that Franmar Chemical acts as a product steward by providing its customers information on environmental and workers’ safety matters, and training its sales force on the benefit of formulations with improved environmental and health characteristics.
Franmar Chemical is a leader in the cleaning industry that has developed innovative, soybean-based solutions which are effective, economical and safe. Their product origins were in the screen printing industry, however they now offer 43 natural products that are effectively used across multiple industries including decorative concrete, remodeling, restoration, road construction, asphalt, carpet and tile removal, building maintenance, automotive, marine/boating, and abatement of asbestos based mastic and lead based paint.
This year marks Franmar’s 25th anniversary. To celebrate their success and show appreciation to their customers, they’ve launched a new web site (www. franmar. com) and e-newsletter (Franmar Chemical Connection); both offer visitors valuable product and industry information.
Throughout its 25 year history, Franmar has worked closely with, and received research and development funds from, the United Soybean Board (www. unitedsoybean. org ). Its farmer members participate in the soybean checkoff whereby they collectively invest a portion of their profits to fund soy research and promotion.
