These are exciting times at

Www. sportbreak. co. uk

Created and run by Ian Colligon a former professional tennis coach, Sportbreak has recently won the award for Best Sports Site by Internet Monthly Magazine. The magazines assesment of the site is as follows:

Www. sportbreak. co. uk - No 1 Sports Site - Internet Monthly Magazine" A simple idea, done very well. If you want a particular type of sporting break in a particular region, this site will help you find it. Select your activity, your region, and any optional keywords, and click 'Search' - this will find something for you. Top class."

Ian can also be heard on the radio station Talk Sport, medium wave 1053 or 1089,(previously Talk Radio) between 11.30am and 12 noon every Wednesday morning. It is a half hour feature on Sportsbreak, a phone-in show hosted by Derek Hatton which is dedicated to sports holidays. He answers listeners calls and give advice on all aspects of sports and activity holidays.

Sportbreak is also to be featured on National US television show Awesome Adventures.

Sportbreak, as its name implies, is a comprehensive database of sports & activity holidays, leisure breaks and corporate entertainment in the United Kingdom, which provides a much needed information service for its visitors. On it you can find anything from multi-activity holidays to tennis and golf breaks, health spas, corporate activity days, water sports, or adrenaline filled extreme adventures to name but a few.

This dynamic searchable website has many other features including online sports equipment sales and professional sports news coverage from around the world. Its aim is to raise the profile of other sports and activity holidays to the same heights as skiing and snowboarding.

Ian said: "We have identified a gap in the holiday market regarding the promotion of sports and activity holidays in the United Kingdom & Europe. At present individual holiday providers produce their own brochures and market their own services, gaining them only limited exposure on a regional level. The lack of a definitive

Sports and activity holiday directory leaves anyone looking for such a holiday with a very disjointed and time consuming search. The exception is of course the skiing holiday market which has seen phenomenal growth and as such is heavily promoted. At Sportbreak we believe that the rest of the sports and activity holiday market has the same potential."

Some of the factors which influence this prediction are the publicÂ’s increasing awareness of the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle plus the risk of skin damage and other related health problems due to over exposure to the sun from typical beach holidays. The phenomenal growth of the internet makes it the ideal medium for holiday companies to promote their services, however individually it is easy to become lost in the immense amount of information available online. Sportbreak has solved this problem for sports and activity holiday companies by uniting them in one simple to use searchable directory www. sportbreak. co. uk

"Our visitors can search the databaseunder activity and region and are provided with a detailed, informative selection of companies relating to their search. All the results include the companyÂ’s name, county, a description of their activities and full contact details. Many of them also have direct links to their own websites."

Sportbreak is currently expanding to include world-wide sports and activity holidays and can be found on the internet at www. sportbreak. co. uk
