QuickQuote today announced the promotion of Michael Stebel to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Mark Malis, Michael will oversee all of the company's operations, including product development, QA, product management, sales, marketing, IT and product support.
QuickQuote also announced that Edward Schaet, CPA was named Chief Financial Officer. Edward will be responsible for the company's accounting department and will be a member of the senior management team along with Mark Malis and Michael Stebel.
The company also announced the appointment of Andrea Boyle to the position of Director of Product Management. In her new role, reporting to Michael Stebel, Andrea will be responsible for product requirements and release & launch planning, as well as product lifecycle management. Michael Stebel joined QuickQuote in 2008 as Vice President of Product Development, Marketing & Sales. During his three decades in high-tech, he has held a number of product development, marketing, sales and senior management positions in leading technology companies. Prior to joining QuickQuote, Michael served as CEO of TVR Communications -- a healthcare technology company with over 600 employees -- where he improved the company's financial and operational performance, completed two acquisitions and established its Interactive Media Division. Previously, Michael held the positions of CMO of Ener1, President of Boca Research, Executive VP of Corporate Strategy for Boundless Technologies, Marketing Director at AT&T/NCR and Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Veeco Instruments.
Ed Schaet has over twenty years of financial experience and brings to QuickQuote a well-rounded and diversified background, which includes certified accountant services in the private sector and provision of certified accounting service expertise to a billion-dollar company. During Ed's career, he has held managerial positions in the technology sector, including Vice President of Operations/Finance for International Software Solutions and President of 2020 Vision Source, an Internet employment service specializing in the Optical industry. He has also held managerial positions for such broad-based companies as ADT, JM Family and Dycom Industries. Ed earned his B. A degree from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL in 1988. He earned his CPA in 1992.
Prior to her appointment as Director of Product Management, Andrea Boyle served as Director of Technical Services for QuickQuote. She joined QuickQuote in 2000 and has since held a number of technical and management positions at the company, including Technical Support Representative, Quality Control Manager and Project Manager.
