Bloomington, IL (PRWEB) May 26, 2010 —
Progressive Impressions International (Pii) and two of its clients have taken honors in the 17th annual Aster Awards.
Aspen Valley Hospital (AVH), in Aspen, Colorado, received a Gold award for its 2010 community calendar, among hospitals with less than 75 beds. Designed and printed by Pii, the calendar features stunning photographs taken by members of the hospital’s medical and professional staff in the Aspen area and around the world. The images are highlighted with inspirational quotes and articles about services available at AVH.
“There’s something really sweet about doing a project just for fun and having it win an Aster Award,” said Ginny Dyche, Director of Community Relations at AVH. “It’s wonderful to have the calendar recognized by experts in the field of marketing and advertising.”
Union Hospital, in Elkton, Maryland, earned a Silver award for its Good Health community newsletter, among hospitals with 76-149 beds. Written, designed and printed by Pii since 2001, the newsletter highlights Union Hospital’s state-of-the-art technology, advanced medical services, new staff and a calendar of events. Each issue also includes timely health information, such as articles about the H1N1 (swine) flu, healthy pregnancy tips and chronic pain management techniques.
“We’re very pleased to be recognized for our work with our newsletter and our work with Pii,” said Kathryn McKinney, Director of Public Relations & Marketing at Union Hospital. “Winning an Aster Award is verification that we’re producing a high-quality product for our community.”
Wins come for second year in a row
The Aster Awards program is an elite competition recognizing excellence in medical marketing. Organized by Creative Images, Inc. (Sylva, North Carolina) and judged by independent experts in the field, the event draws the nation's most talented healthcare marketing professionals.
In last year’s competition, Pii received a Silver award for a special edition of Union Hospital’s Good Health newsletter and a Bronze award for AVH’s Health Matters newsletter.
“To win two Aster Awards for the second year in a row is a high honor, because our work competes against the best of the best,” said Ron Drenning, Pii vice president of sales and marketing. “More than anything, these distinguished awards are an acknowledgement of the great relationships Pii has with our clients. And the awards also reflect the quality at every level of our organization and our clients’ organizations: from our contacts at Aspen Valley Hospital and Union Hospital to the account management, creative and production teams at Pii.”
Pii creative teams for health care marketing, including account managers, writers, proofreaders, graphic designers and sales staff, are based in Pompano Beach, Florida.
