The Lupus Alliance of America announces new Hispanic addition to their staff.

The Lupus Alliance of America LI/Q Affiliate is proud to announce that they have a new addition to their staff which will help them reach out to the Spanish Speaking Community.

(PRWEB) July 1, 2005

The Lupus Alliance of America LI/Q Affiliate is pleased to announce that it has a new addition to its staff, Silvia Heredia.

Silvia, who speaks fluent Spanish, will help the Alliance reach out to lupus patients in the Spanish speaking community who need help and information on their disease.

Lupus affects women 10-15 times more frequently than men, and is more prevalent in Latinos. For this reason, the Alliance needed to reach out and offer more services to the Hispanic community. Now, with this addition to its staff, it can offer help and answers in Spanish over the phone, offer a Spanish speaker for Symposiums and Health Fairs, and perform outreach services in the Hispanic lupus community.

If you or someone you know speaks Spanish and suffers from lupus, and is in need of help and information please call Silvia on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday at 516-783-3370.
