New Life Hiking Spa is pleased to announce it is opening for its thirtieth year on May 15, 2008. New Life Hiking Spa started in 1978 and since then, has helped thousands of people shed pounds while having a wonderful vacation. To commemorate the anniversary, New Life Hiking Spa is giving each guest on opening day a subscription to the Nutrition Action Healthletter. The spa is open from May 15 - September 28, 2008 for the 2008 season.
"After 30 years, we're still going strong and empowering our guests to make major differences in their lives," says Jimmy LeSage, M. S., founder and director of New Life Hiking Spa.
The renowned destination spa opened for its first season Memorial Day weekend of 1978 in Stratton, Vermont. In 1991, New Life moved to Killington, Vermont, and has been headquartered at the Inn of the Six Mountains since that time.
Just this month, MSN selected New Life as one of the 8 places to take a vacation and lose weight and in 2007, MSNBC. com honored New Life Hiking Spa as one of the top 10 destinations in the world to get in shape. (To read the story, please visit MSNBC. com Top 10 Places.) The spa also received international attention after Shape Magazine selected it as one of the eight best weight loss spas, based on its realistic programming. New Life was mentioned on Good Morning America and was chosen as one of the 10 best spas in five different categories (Hiking, Weight Loss, Fitness Programming, Going Solo and Affordability) by SpaFinder Magazine's 2007 Readers' Choice Awards.
"Each year, people from around the world come to New Life Hiking Spa and learn to take the necessary steps to create overall better lifestyles for themselves, while also enjoying the pristine scenery and fresh mountain air of Vermont," LeSage says. "We have used the information in the Nutrition Action Healthletter for many years and hope that the subscription will help them on their journey for a healthier lifestyle once they return home."
