Precept Medical Products, Inc., a manufacturer of medical supplies for use in healthcare facilities, has signed a multi-source agreement to provide Premier members with headwear and shoe covers. The term of the agreement is for three years.
Premier, Inc. is one of the nationÂs foremost healthcare alliances. Premier is owned by more than 200 hospitals and healthcare systems located throughout the U. S. These systems either operate or are affiliated with more than 1,500 hospitals and other healthcare entities.
ÂThis agreement marks the beginning of a very important strategic partnership for Precept. We have worked very hard to create a national presence with the major group purchasing organizations and this agreement is a significant step in that direction. We will continue to focus on expanding our relationship with Premier in the future, stated Michael Boyd, Precept president.
The agreement covers the distribution of headwear and shoe covers to Premier members. Precept manufactures a full line of headwear, including nurses caps, surgical caps, and surgeons hoods. The Precept shoe cover line incorporates products made of a vast array of materials, including polypropylene, Tyvek®, plastic film, and a three-layer fabric for enhanced protection. Shoe covers are available with or without anti-skid traction strips. Precept also offers a variety of boot covers, from Tyvek® boot covers to its well-received FluidGardTM boot covers.
In addition to headwear and shoe covers, Precept Medical Products (www. preceptmed. com) develops and manufactures a full line of medical disposables, including face masks, surgical drapes, and protective apparel, such as gowns, coveralls, lab coats, warm-up jackets and scrubs.
