All-Natural Chocolate Puts Values into Action

Nyack, NY (Vocus) September 29, 2010

Nyack, New York-based Q. bel Foods, LLC, makers of all-natural chocolate wafer bars and wafer rolls, today announced the first winner of their social media-based charity contest: Cambridge Women’s Center located in Cambridge, MA. Q. bel will make a donation of $100 to the charity, as well as sending $25 in Q. bel coupons to the person who nominated the charity.

“The Women’s Center really connected with us,” said Phil Teverow, Q. bel’s co-founder. “Like Q. bel, it is a small organization that’s open and honest about how they go about improving quality of life. Obviously, they go much further than a candy bar maker. We admire their dedication to making a real difference in people’s lives.”

The contest was virally spread through Q. bel’s Facebook and Twitter sites, asking fans and followers to submit an email nominating their favorite charity with similar values to Q. bel’s mantra: “Be Honest. Be True. Be Good.”

“We are looking forward to receiving and evaluating more entries in the future, and we hope we can make larger contributions as we grow. It’s exciting to learn about what other people are doing to ‘Be True. Be Honest. Be Good.’,” Teverow added. For more information on the charity contest, visit www.
