HAITI CLINC SERVES POOREST OF THE POOR

LOMA LINDA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL MISSION SERVICE WORK AT SIMEUS FOUNDATION CLINIC IN HAITI

(PRWEB) April 18, 2003

The Siméus Foundation and Loma Linda University's Students for International Mission Service just completed a medical mission to Haiti in which almost 400 patients were treated. The staff of 10 included doctors, nurses, public health specialists and other health professionals. During the one week stay, public health students went into the community to conduct interviews to find out what the community views as the most important problems to be addressed by the clinic.

The Siméus Foundation welcomes health professionals who are interested in participating in a future medical mission – or even sponsoring one in the future. Please contact Vanessa Dickey, Executive Director of the Foundation at (817) 473-5246. The foundation is also looking for donated medicine and medical supplies. Antibiotics, drugs to treat high blood pressure, diuretics, anti-diarrheal, pain medication, etc. are the most commonly prescribed.

The Siméus Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. All donations of medicine, equipment, time/services and cash are tax deductible.
