At the heart of every Lechuza planter is a German engineered self-watering system (http://www. lechuza. com/on/demandware. store/Sites-US-Site/en_US/Search-Show? cgid=S) that makes growing and maintaining beautiful plants easier than ever before. Inside is a liner that holds the plant, its soil and a layer of a special granular medium that perfectly controls the supply of water to the plant. In the liner is a water reservoir that is filled from the top of the planter via a convenient supply shaft. A water level indicator makes it easy to see when more water is needed. For outdoor use there is a removable drain plug that prevents over-watering during rainy periods.
The Rondo's unique design also makes changing plants a snap. The planter's liner is equipped with recessed handles that make it simple to lift the plant and liner out leaving the exterior behind.

The Rondo stands 32" tall and is 16" in diameter. It is available in either aubergine, pearl-beige, white, black or scarlet red high gloss finishes and is also available in silver charcoal or espresso metallic.
All Lechuza planters are recyclable and the international recycling logo is proudly imbedded on each planter. Plastic waste produced during the manufacturing process is recycled in-house and its subsequent granulated material is re-used in the production of Lechuza's self-watering accessories.
