Starr Seigle Announces Changes at StarrTech; Mary Fastenau named President

Honolulu, January 20, 2000 -- Starr Seigle Communications has announced the following promotions and new hires at StarrTech Interactive:

Mary Fastenau has been named President of StarrTech Interactive. She had been senior vice president and managing director of the high technology and interactive commerce division, following 18 tears of experience in adverting, communications, and marketing. She joined Starr Seigle Communications in 1989 as an account supervisor.

Since she co-founded StarrTech in 1995, Ms. Fastenau has brought the newest SSC division from a start-up to become one of the top high-technology firms in Hawaii, with numerous prizes and other honors to its credit.

Ms. Fastenau is a graduate of the University of Hawaii's Executive MBA program

And before that of the University of Nebraska with a degree in journalism. She is a frequent guest lecturer on Internet marketing, website and CD-ROM development for academic, business and professional groups in Honolulu.

Karen Andersen-Horner has been promoted to Vice President - Creative Director at StarrTech. She had been a senior interactive media developer for the past three years working on technology solutions for such clients as Bank of Hawaii, Halekulani, Princeville Resort, Mauna Lani, Mary Charles & Associates, Ferraro Choi & Associates, and Hawaiian Vintage Chocolate.

Her work has won the Technology Award for Preferred Hotels & Resorts Worldwide for the Halekulani site; a Creative Excellence Award in the

International Web Page Awards for the Bank of Hawaii site; and she was a finalist in the 1999 New Media Invision Award for Best Hybrid/CD-ROM Application for Princeville Resorts' CD-ROM.

Before joining StarrTech, Ms. Andersen-Horner was a production manager at TMP Worldwide and an ad designer and art director in Indiana.

Justina Phoon has joined StarrTech as Interactive Projects Manager. She is working on financial and travel accounts including Bank of Hawaii, Hawaiian Airlines and Hilton Hotels Hawaii. Ms. Phoon earned a diploma in graphic design from the La Salle-SIA College of Arts in Singapore, a BFA in graphic design from the California College of Arts and Crafts and an MA in Mass Communications from Oklahoma City University.

Nestor Trillo has joined StarrTech as Information Strategist. He had been a web engineer at WorldPoint Interactive Inc. working on integrated multilingual solutions, information design improvements and project reviews. Mr. Trillo holds a Certificate in Japanese studies from Keio University in Tokyo, a BA in Spanish from Dartmouth College, an MA in Communications from the University of Hawaii and he is working toward a Ph. D. from UH in Communication and Information Science.

Dawn Gonzalez has joined StarrTech as Account Executive. She had been with Crispin Porter & Bogusky Advertising in Miami, where her clients included Shimano American Corporation, Merrell Outdoor Footwear, Giro Sport Design, LongHorn Steakhouse, Cox Interactive Media and AvMed Health Plan. At StarrTech, Ms. Gonzalez works directly with clients within a variety of project management structures, to ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget. She has a B. S. degree in Advertising from Florida State University.
