The 2010 Data Governance Winter Conference Releases its Agenda and Opens Registration

This year’s extensive agenda is comprised of three tracks, rich with case studies, practical experience, and in-depth tutorials that will cover everything from the “how-tos”of starting a data governance and stewardship program to attaining data governance maturity.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 8, 2010

DebTech International LLC and Wilshire Conferences have announced the agenda for the 2010 Data Governance Winter Conference. The event will take place December 8-10, 2010 at the Renaissance Orlando SeaWorld Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Now in its 5th year, the conference will focus on practical strategies and methods for making Data Governance successful in large organizations.

The conference curriculum is designed to address the needs of business and IT executives who are responsible for managing corporate risk and accountability through effective data and information management.

“There’s widespread concern about the sustainability and accountability of many organizations, both in the private and public sectors. The financial crisis is the prime recent example, but similar concerns run across all industries. Is data accurate, is the information provided to stakeholders correct, and are executives basing their decisions on the right information,” Davida Berger, President, of DebTech International LLC said. “Our conference will address the management procedures necessary to ensure these goals are met, so the discussions are based very much on today’s current issues.”

The conference curriculum is suitable both for those who are starting out with data governance, as well as those who already have programs in place. Novices will learn how to plan for Data Governance, addressing both the business and IT sides of the equation. The agenda includes foundational “how to” sessions, breakout discussion groups and case studies to meet the diverse needs of the audience. Experienced practitioners will learn from more advanced case studies and in-depth classes and can expect to return to their organizations armed with specific governance improvements.

Case studies will be provided by the following leading organizations from a diversity of industries, including:

Schlumberger: Chemicals and Energy
LDS Church: Faith-based, Non-Profit
Automobile Association: Insurance and Member Services
Lexmark: Manufacturing
Kaiser Permanente: Health Care
US Army: Military, Federal Government
