New Health Education Initiative for Communities in the Bronx
GARDEN CITY & BRONX, N. Y. – February 8, 2002 – Heritage New York Medical Group (HNYMG) and Soundview HealthCare Network (Soundview) today announced an alliance which enables Soundview to offer HNYMG’s Health and Wellness programs, a series of lectures, interactive activities and educational courses. “How to Stay Young,” the inaugural program, will feature motivational speaker Barbara Newman and is scheduled for Tuesday, February 26th from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Soundview Health Center located at 731 White Plains Road in the Bronx.
“Our alliance with Heritage adds a new dimension to Soundview’s mission to provide top quality health and social services to the Bronx community,” explains Senator Pedro Espada, Jr., President and Founder of Soundview. “Heritage’s programs focus on health and quality-of-life issues that impact our community, including seniors, young families and those with specific health conditions, such as diabetes, glaucoma and arthritis. The alliance will help us to better serve the Bronx.”
