Paleo Brands, Inc. announces a new gourmet entrée and snack line that will launch on the Paleo Brands website on January 4, 2010. The ingredients for the food line mimic the evolutionary nutritional needs fueling humans for the last 2 million years with grass fed meats, wild caught fish, fruits, vegetables and healthy fats. Today's epidemic of obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and other degenerative diseases has been linked to our modern diet of processed foods. Although extensive research has shown that eating all natural, unprocessed foods the way our Paleolithic ancestors did provides the foundation for optimal health, the challenge has been in finding a way to make it easy, affordable, and convenient.

The solution to this problem is Paleo Brands, Inc. This new food line based upon the all-natural foods our bodies were designed to eat. This way of eating has been termed the “Paleolithic Diet”. The Paleo Brands food line consists of unprocessed, preservative free, grass fed meats, wild caught fish, vegetables, fruits, and nuts. These foods support: weight loss, increased energy levels, better circulation, improved memory and brain function all while decreasing the risk of arthritis, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, osteoporosis, gastrointestinal disease and numerous psychological disorders.

Joe Cappuccio, owner of Del Mar Seafood’s and John Welbourn, creator of CrossFit Football, owner of CrossFit Balboa, and ten year NFL Football veteran, founded Paleo Brands, Inc. The idea was to help today’s modern hunter/gatherer “re-evolve” by offering healthy, convenient and affordable food choices. Paleo Brands, Inc. will launch a product line of 5 different Paleo Gourmet Entrees that are all natural, no preservatives, and gluten-free. Meals like Beef with Curry Pistachio Stuffing and Broccoli, Almond Crusted Cod with Spicy Vegetables and Cauliflower Leek Puree, Beef Meatballs with Spaghetti Squash, Fish Patties with Spaghetti Squash and Roast Beef with Creamy Butternut Squash.

The inspiration for the business was born of personal experience: “As an NFL player, keeping my body in working order and performing at its best requires the consummation of high quality foods. I first heard of the Paleolithic Diet from my friend, Robb Wolf, a nutritionist from Chico, CA. The changes in my diet increased strength, aided in sleep and decreased recovery time. When I started training athletes through CrossFit Football and at my gym, CrossFit Balboa, it was a simple choice to introduce my clients to the foods we have evolved eating for the last 2 million years,” says Welbourn, “I am now fortunate to travel the world working with athletes and I make it a point to talk about the Paleo diet.”

Robb Wolf, Owner of NorCal Strength and Conditioning, well known Paleo Nutritionist, research bio-chemist, health and wellness coach, and author of the forthcoming book “The Paleolithic Solution” supports Paleo Brands. “I endorse Paleo Brands, Inc. and I’m incredibly excited about the company. The vast majority of the health costs that we incur as a society can be completely solved by Paleo nutrition. People now have a place to get Paleo foods that are convenient and affordable via the website. I have eaten all of the products and they are not only delicious but also within guidelines of maintaining truly Paleolithic foods,” says Wolf.

Though this way of eating is commonly referred to as the “The Cave Man Diet”, Paleo Brands, Inc. emphasizes that this is far beyond a diet. It is a lifestyle that naturally optimizes metabolism, minimizes disease, corrects imbalances, and induces weight loss. In some cases, it may assist in improving pre-existing diseases that have resulted from gluten, processed foods, chemicals, and preservatives.
