Their appointments were approved by Inverse TechnologyÂ’s Board of Directors on Friday, September 6th and are effective immediately.

Mr. Thomas E. In June 2002, Inverse Technology announced the signing of an exclusive agreement for the worldwide marketing and selling of Protonics® with OrthoRehab, Inc., a privately held company headquartered in Tempe, Arizona with an extensive network of sales and service representatives in the U. S. and in 54 foreign countries.

Inverse Technology, headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska, is a private healthcare company that develops, manufactures and markets Protonics® based medical rehabilitation devices. Many patients who experience chronic knee pain, back pain, hip bursitis, sciatica and similar postural problems, suffer from a postural instability and lack of symmetry of the pelvis. Since the pelvis is in a unique position to contribute to the position and function of numerous parts of the body, especially the spine and the femur, an imbalance or lack of symmetry in the position of the pelvis has undesirable consequences throughout the entire lumbo-pelvic-femoral chain.

Inverse Technology’s primary product, the Protonics Neuromuscular Repositioning System, is utilized to neuromuscularly develop and maintain pelvic symmetry and stability throughout the lumbo-pelvic-femoral chain by the activation and reeducation of the core stabilizing muscles in and around the pelvis and thigh. Protonics® is used by orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, physical therapists, athletic trainers and other clinicians in the prevention and treatment of chronic postural problems. Protonics® has received reimbursement approval from Medicare/Medicaid, Workman’s Compensation and over 400 private insurance companies and HMO’s.

The Hong Kong PolyU 'Head-Hunters' to Study Head Sizes of Ethnic Chinese

The Hong Kong PolyU 'Head-Hunters' to Study Head Sizes of Ethnic Chinese

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)’s School of Design (SD) is collecting 3D head and face measurements of ethnic Chinese to establish a database for industrial designers. The objective of this project is to create the first digital database on the head and face shapes of ethnic Chinese. This research will solve the problem by creating practical, sophisticated design tools for industries that need to create the next generation of perfect fitting products.

Hong Kong SAR, China (PRWEB) April 8, 2006

With nearly $4.5 million funding support from DesignSmart Initiative of the Government’s Innovation and Technology Commission, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)’s School of Design (SD) is collecting 3D head and face measurements of ethnic Chinese to establish a database for industrial designers.

Heading this “SizeChina. com” project is Mr Roger Ball, Assistant Professor of SD. His team will make use of a 360 degree rotary non-contact head and face scanner to collect anthropometric data in six different provinces and regions of the Chinese mainland, in collaboration with local universities and enterprises.

According to Mr Ball, the objective of this project is to create the first digital database on the head and face shapes of ethnic Chinese. He said many current consumer products are designed for Caucasians, and as a result do not fit Chinese people properly. This research will solve the problem by creating practical, sophisticated design tools for industries that need to create the next generation of perfect fitting products.

“Understanding human size and shape is the cornerstone for designing successful products. Every consumer product relies on accurate fit. Designers, engineers and architects need sophisticated digital data on head and face shapes to design the next generation of best selling products. How well a product fits us is the most important part of any successful design,” he added.

It is anticipated that designers from many industries will require this anthropometric data. Some areas of application for this database are highlighted as follows:

For Medical industry.

Facemasks and filters for contagious children. Protective equipments for health care professionals. Advanced head mounted micro-surgery tools

For Optical industry.

According to a study by PolyU’s School of Optometry, over 70 per cent of ethnic Chinese are wearing spectacles since school years. Non prescription eyewear (sunglasses) is therefore of particular interest.

For Sports industry.

Bicycle helmets, helmets for scooter and motorcycles, protective goggles.

For Entertainment/Communication industry

Headphones/virtual reality headsets/head mounted interfaces

This project is partly funded by the DesignSmart Initiative under the project title “Perfect fit China”. It is also funded and supported by leading local industrial partners, including UGS PLM Solutions and Strategic Sports.

Benenden's 'New You' Campaign Urges Women to Put their Health Before Beauty

Benenden's 'New You' Campaign Urges Women to Put their Health Before Beauty

Study prompts fears that women are putting looks ahead of their general wellbeing.

York, UK (PRWEB) January 24, 2011

Four in ten British women are more worried about their looks than their health, according to recently released research.

The study revealed that women are more prepared to spend money on products which give the impression they are healthy - rather than healthy products.

Nearly 19 per cent admit to crash-dieting and one in twenty have resorted to laxatives to squeeze into tight-fitting fashions.

And four per cent said they ended up suffering from an eating disorder to look their best for a night out.

Eight in ten would be encouraged to continue their bad habits if they received a compliment, and one in five would 'do anything' to get into a size eight pair of jeans.

Yesterday, a spokesman for mutual health care provider Benenden Healthcare Society, which carried out the study, said: "It would be wrong to say that these results come as a surprise, as so many of us are guilty of taking shortcuts to ensure we look good - often at the expense of our health.

"There's a real danger that British women are becoming too focused on what they look like and forgetting to look after their inner health. They become obsessed with the latest beauty trends and maintaining a perfect look, but in the end it's just a mirage and they're not caring enough for what's going on inside their bodies. Women can be slim and look good, but it doesn't necessarily mean they're healthy.

"Benenden Healthcare believes strongly that health and wellbeing should be a priority to everyone. The information is out there - particularly on our own website where we are currently running a 'New You' campaign supported by ITV Dancing on Ice's Hayley Tamaddon - so people do have the opportunity to find out how they can prioritise health over beauty.

"Just a few simple steps can often make a big difference to your health and wellbeing and often being healthier leads to being happier."

Dancing on Ice champion and presenter in the current ITV series, Hayley Tamaddon has been lending her support to Benenden Healthcare in recent weeks. Drawing from her own experiences of shaping up for Dancing on Ice and as a young woman in the entertainment industry, Hayley said: "The pressure on young woman in the public eye to look good is huge and it's often extremely unhealthy. I would really encourage all women that their own health and wellbeing should always come first - and it is so true that being healthy can often be a better route to happiness.

"As I've said for Benenden Healthcare's campaign, it's so easy to take a simple few steps in order to make a big difference - really simple things such as drinking plenty of water, cutting down on sugar and doing little bits of exercise here and there like regularly walking the dog."

The study of women aged between 18 and 65 quizzed them on their spending habits and attitudes when faced with either looking good or being healthy.

It found women fork out an average of £336 a year on hair products, make-up and fake tan in a bid to look young, but £228 is spent on vitamins and gym membership.

And while three quarters enjoy spending cash on looking their best, just 41 per cent like heading to the shops for health supplements and nutritional food.

A massive 84 per cent of the 3,000 polled agreed with the statement 'women are more concerned with the way they look than their level of fitness'.

And six in ten would rather live their life to the full and 'embrace life's excesses' rather than worry about 'being squeaky clean'.

The extreme lengths women have gone to in order to keep trim were also exposed - a worrying three per cent admitted to taking up smoking to shed a few pounds and 14 per cent have turned to diet pills.

Two thirds said they are worried they could be completely unaware of a serious health problem, yet one in five have NEVER been for a check-up at the doctors.

And while 56 per cent said they could cover up the effects of a late night with make-up, one in ten try to emulate the lives of Hollywood stars

However, many women realise it's not all about looks. Only eight per cent think being slim automatically means you're healthy and a quarter can tell someone is unhealthy just by looking at them.

Just one in six reckon celebs who are in the spotlight all of the time actual look a picture of health and three quarters make a concise effort to maintain a balanced diet.

More than half (52 per cent) are worried after reading stories about illnesses and the effects of eating the right food in the papers, and one in five regularly go to the gym..

Yet an overwhelming 93 per cent agree that Britain is an unhealthy nation and one in five have had a health scare after wrongly thinking they were fighting fit.

Statement of Need:

The Clinical Antipsychotic Trials of Intervention Effectiveness (CATIE) trial has provided, for the first time, detailed information comparing the efficacy and side effects of existing treatments for schizophrenia. This NIMH-sponsored study assessed 1,460 people between the ages of 18 and 65 who met DSM-IV criteria for schizophrenia. Participants were recruited from the community at large, assigned to interventions already in relatively widespread use, and followed for 18 months. If at any time during the trial an assigned medication was ineffective or not well tolerated, patients were re-randomized to other treatment pathways. To emulate real-world patterns of schizophrenia, CATIE included people with medical comorbidities, substance use disorders, and those currently treated with other medications. Data collection in the study was completed in December 2004, with the initial analysis published in September 2005. The primary outcome of CATIE is all-cause treatment discontinuation, an important clinical endpoint that reflects both clinician and patient judgements about efficacy and tolerability. Secondary outcome measures of CATIE include symptoms, side effects, neurocognitive functioning, and cost-effectiveness. In this evidence-based psychCME activity, CATIE researchers will expand on the initial outcome data, emphasize the importance of providing individualized treatment strategies for patients with schizophrenia, and offer a contextual framework for making responsible, real-world decisions about treating these challenging patients.

New Voice Service Helps US Military Stay Connected with Families

New Voice Service Helps US Military Stay Connected with Families

Serving members of the military have a new way to stay in touch: a service called TroopTalk, based on 'unified messaging' software from Interactive Intelligence.

(PRWEB) January 7, 2005

New service TroopTalk enables individuals worldwide to send faxes and voice messages to be delivered via e-mail to members of the US military.

TroopTalk, which was made available November 2004, is offered by US unified communications service provider, OnlyOne, using software by Interactive Intelligence Inc. (Nasdaq: ININ). The not-for-profit Armed Services YMCA has made TroopTalk possible through corporate and individual sponsorships.

OnlyOne created TroopTalk to supplement real-time communications between service members, and friends and family.

"While there's nothing like hearing from a loved one in real-time, we wanted to create an additional way for service members and their families to communicate that would be both cost-effective and convenient," said Judi Bonadio, executive vice president of OnlyOne. "TroopTalk enables friends and family to simply pick up the phone and send service members as many messages as they want at any time. For service members, hearing from loved ones is now as easy as clicking on a file attached to an e-mail message."

Beyond its ease-of-use, service members are already finding TroopTalk a major morale booster, according to John C. Zipperer, a sergeant with the Bondsteel Air Taxi Service currently stationed in Kosovo. In a letter of appreciation recently sent to those responsible for TroopTalk, Zipperer said that the service had been "instrumental" to his soldiers' morale and well-being.

“This is a heart-warming application of unified messaging, which really does allow people to stay in touch flexibly,” said Richard Brown Managing Director, EMEA, Interactive Intelligence. “Email is a great, quick way of communicating, but lacks many conversational nuances. Christmas and the New Year were tough times to be away from friends and family. Over 250 thousand US troops are currently stationed outside the US, including over 75 thousand in Germany, over 200 thousand in the Gulf and nearly 12 thousand in England. Unified messaging systems make it easier – families could use their preferred way of communicating with loved ones without jeopardising security or having to wait for a set time for contact.”

The Armed Services YMCA is coordinating all sponsor donations. Sponsorships are offered for six months at $118, and 12 months at $220. A single sponsorship includes 20 business cards to be distributed among friends and family members, each with a local dial-up number and instructions for sending voice messages and faxes. An unlimited number of messages and faxes can be sent during the sponsorship period.

World Wrestling Entertainment has volunteered its services: friends and family members can hear a pre-recorded greeting from a WWE superstar each time they send a message. The Armed Services YMCA believes that the uniqueness of each WWE greeting will encourage people to use the service more frequently and to recommend it to others.

"We're proud to see organisations like WWE stepping up to support our troops and their loved ones at home," said Frank Gallo, national executive director of the Armed Services YMCA. "With an increasing number of security mandates that limit inter-military communications, finding ways to help our troops maintain critical family ties is now more important than ever. There is widespread recognition that healthy families contribute substantially to the success of our defence community. TroopTalk sponsors can feel really good knowing that they are contributing to that success."

TroopTalk is one of several initiatives being launched by an increasing number of people to help both service members abroad, and their loves ones at home. For instance, this year the Ellen DeGeneres show distributed $1.2 million worth of cruises to military families, and Oprah Winfrey gave a baby shower for 640 expectant mothers at Fort Campbell.

Notes to editors:

Interactive Intelligence has approximately 13% market share, unified messaging (US). It’s unified messaging software, Communité, has won numerous awards, including Frost & Sullivan's 2004 Product Innovation Award.

Sound Health Insurance Is the Newest Plan Offered by UniCare of Texas to Reach "Young Invincibles"

Sound Health Insurance Is the Newest Plan Offered by UniCare of Texas to Reach "Young Invincibles"

Sound Health plans are targeted at Texas' 1.2 million uninsureds between the ages of 19-29, and offer a truly original approach to health care coverage starting 2-1-2006. "Sound is fun, affordable, easy to understand and includes preventive, emergency and pharmacy benefits. These young invincibles can choose from the Gravity Bender, Curb Jumper and The Cruisers," says UniCare Premier Agent Jeff CLine.

Quinlan, TX (PRWEB) January 27, 2006

This unique insurance quotes (http://policystore. com) is tailored to the lifestyle and attitudes of the Texas "young invincibles" (young men & women between 19 to 29) who are on the cutting edge of Texas (http://thepolicystore. com) culture. There are currently an estimated 1.2 million uninsured 19 to 29-year-olds in the state of Texas. According to the insurance industry, young adults have the highest rate of being uninsured (about 29 to 39 percent) because they tend to be those who are no longer being covered by parents insurance plans and are just starting new careers that are less likely to have insurance or health plans offered by employers.

Cline has many reasons why he is making so much NOISE about the plan, including the simplicity of the application process. PAPERLESS Thats right, everything is online.

"Yesterday, I went through the process online; it took us only 12 minutes to complete the application and then nine minutes later, I received his approval letter," Cline said. "I also worked with a customer today who found me on MSN under a search for 'Sound Health Insurance,' and within he found the Perfect plan to fit his needs."

The online application and the Sound Health system has taken weeks even months off the traditional average underwriting process. Cline adds that not all cases will go as smoothly as the examples mentioned; the process varies for each individual.

"I am very impressed with UniCare of Texas and their ability to provide such a cutting edge site, and great coverage for such a reasonable price," he said.

"This is not your parents insurance" he adds, although many parents will choose this plan for its great benefits and price.

Family health insurance (http://uniapp. com) is fun, affordable, easy to understand and includes preventive, emergency and pharmacy benefits. Your Individual clients can choose from the Gravity Bender (http://www. noisehealth. com), Curb Jumper and The Cruiser. Sound plans offer benefits this younger market wants:

-Three simplified, comprehensive health insurance plans that also offer basic dental and vision benefits

-A simplified wellness news (http://oncolinthera. com) and online applications that can be completed in minutes

-Sound Health has Automated underwriting

Texas residents can get more information or make some NoiSe of their own by visiting Mr. Cline's new Sound Health site at NoiseHealth. com (http://www. noisehealth. com)

Operating a small biz in the 21st century without lawyers and accountants etc

Operating a small biz in the 21st century without lawyers and accountants etc...

(PRWEB) April 10, 2001

P. R. title: Operating a small business WITHOUT accountants, lawyers etc...

The average small business owner in the United States now spends between 35%

And 45% of their time handling just the employee related paperwork. The typical

Small business owner has the burden of running payroll, buying workmans

Compensation insurance, providing employee health insurance, processing W-2s,

Tracking and filing all payroll taxes, mailing all forms on time, maintaining compliance

With all federal, state and local laws and defending you and your company against

Workers compensation claims and audits just to name a few!

Usually, a small business owners lawyer is in one city and accountants in

Another city. Payroll is done by ABC payroll in yet another city. Now small

Business has to deal with soaring workmans comp., and employee health insurance

Costs. It's no wonder small businesses fail. And it's fast becoming a trend to NOT

Start a small business at all. Who can keep up with all this chaos and still earn a

Measly profit anymore?

Well folks, it's the 21 century and it's time you started running your small business

That way! To continue plodding along without upgrading your business practices will

Certainly doom your dreams of wealth. Don't believe me? Just continue your daily

Rut of paperwork and dealing with employee problems and in a year or so

Compare your business with your competitors who have upgraded and see for yourself

Who is playing golf all day and who isn't.

So how does one upgrade their small business from wasting time and money the

"old" 20th century way to the new 21st century way of doing business that wastes

Zero time and earns you profits beyond your wildest dreams?

It's simple and you can start today...

By firing your lawyer(s), accountant(s), human resource managers, benefits manager,

Risk managers and information managers. Thats right, fire them! And outsource all

Of these tasks to a Professional Employment Organization! Or a P. E.O. for short.

A P. E.O. manages the "business of employees" so you can manage your business

For bottom-line profits! If your competitor is already using the services of a P. E.O.,

35% to 45% of their time is spent earning profits and not dealing with employees.

Is that the type of competitor you want to go head to head with? The competitor

With a huge advantage over you? I would tend to think NOT.

And your competitors employees are receiving fortune 500 quality health benefits at prices far below your current small business rates.

It keeps them happy and on the job working hard while your employees, if lucky

Get low rated health benefits if any at all. Your competitor makes one phone call to one P. E.O. and EVERYTHING is taken care of. Golf anybody?

Of course there is so much more to a P. E.O. then could be explained here. So

Im encouraging all small business owners who are looking for the 21st century

Way of doing business to further educate yourselves by getting the full details of

How a P. E.O. can turn your sagging profits into the bottom-line gains we will all

Need to survive in these trying times. (end)

Health Researchers Discovers Link Between Blood Glucose Levels And Most Major Diseases

Health Researchers Discovers Link Between Blood Glucose Levels And Most Major Diseases

When asked why Americans are so sick, Dr. Chappell states, "Most Americans eat a diet of refined, processed carbohydrates, sugar, hydrogenated fats, oils and animal products, and not to forget the hundreds of excito/neuro toxins found in these substances."

Ojai, CA (PRWEB) May 20, 2006

After over three decades of researching nutraceutical and botanical medicinal properties, Dr. James Chappell has discovered one common denominator in most major diseases, including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular and the dementia's: its called Glucose.

Dr. Chappell is a board certified chiropractic physician, traditional naturopath, clinical nutritionist and medical herbalist. Since 1971, he has been an avid health researcher and educator specializing in incorporating natural healing protocols for chronic, severe and terminal illnesses.

In simply terms, it seems the more glucose rises in our blood, the more acidic we become. As acid increases, oxygen decreases. In short, high glucose, acid pH and loss of oxygen are all prerequisites for many diseases, if not most.

When asked why Americans are so sick, Dr. Chappell states, "Most Americans eat a diet of refined, processed carbohydrates, sugar, hydrogenated fats, oils and animal products, and not to forget the hundreds of excito/neuro toxins found in these substances. These "foods" are all acid producing while most fruits and vegetables are alkaline. Sugar laden soda, fries, hamburgers, cereals and most junk "food" load the body with glucose thereby shifting the pH of the blood to acid. The net result is tissue hypoxia or a loss of cellular oxygen and a compromised immune system which ultimately leads to disease."

Since most of us are not willing to drastically change our lifestyle including our diet, it appears futile, however, there is some hope. Again, Dr. Chappell suggests, "The key to optimum health is to stop doing those things that cause illness and start doing those things that promote it. There are known herbal ingredients that absolutely lower glucose. From Gymnema to Fenugreek, American Ginseng to Nopal and Cinnamon to Bitter Melon, these herbs have been scientifically proven to normalize glucose regardless of what you eat. In addition, if you can eliminate toxic "food," especially those contributing to an increase in blood glucose levels, you are further ahead of the game. Since we now know most disease requires at least three elements; high glucose, acid pH and loss of oxygen, anything that can address all three can very well address the diseases they cause."

When searching the Internet for the exact ingredients described by Dr. Chappell, there is only one company making a product that contains all, it's called Herbal Promise and the product is Cinnamon 6. With this new discovery, it is not only the diabetic that may find benefit, all Americans will benefit, as well.

Regardless of your health challenge, according to Dr. Chappell, we should always evaluate our glucose, pH and oxygen saturation levels. Taking Cinnamon 6 is paramount to normalizing those markers and addressing the conditions they may effect.

Unit Dose Solutions Signs Five Hospital Systems for Drug Repackaging

Unit Dose Solutions Signs Five Hospital Systems for Drug Repackaging

Unit Dose Solutions Inc., a growing provider of outsourced drug repackaging services, today announced its agreement with Coastal Carolinas Health Alliance (CCHA), which includes New Hanover (N. C.) Regional Medical Center and Southeastern Regional Medical Center, among 12 other hospitals. Unit Dose Solutions will provide individual dose drug repackaging of oral solid and liquid medications for members of the CCHA, a non-profit healthcare organization consisting of 14 member hospitals located throughout North and South Carolina. This is the latest customer success story for Unit Dose Solutions, which has signed a string of hospitals and healthcare facilities in recent months.

MORRISVILLE, N. C. (PRWEB) April 10, 2007

"The healthcare spectrum relies on us for our 16-point quality control safety measures we use in delivering intelligent, bar-coded packaging designed so hospitals can provide individual patient dosages of medications," said Tim Boyd, chief operating officer of Unit Dose Solutions. "We serve hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living and other institutional pharmacies, and also receive tremendous interest from pharmaceutical manufacturers and their distributors here in the United States."

According to Jim Tripp, pharmacist at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, N. C., Unit Dose Solutions provides a critical service. "We place the highest level of importance on quality control when dispensing patient medication," said Tripp. "This helps our hospital improve tracking and patient safety while reducing costly pharmaceutical waste."

Unit Dose Solutions also was awarded contracts for individual dose/bar-coded drug repackaging by the pharmacy departments at St. Louis Children's Hospital in Missouri; St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla.; and Doctor's Hospital in Dallas.

The contracts call for Unit Dose Solutions to repackage the majority of the hospitals' bulk drug inventory into individual doses, each sealed with a bar code and human readable label information. The company's ability to customize package types, bar code formats, and labeling contents at the individual dose level greatly improves patient safety, enabling hospital staff to verify each patient receives the correct amount of the right medicine, every time.

Unit dose packaging with sophisticated, intelligent bar-coding is quickly becoming standard for hospital pharmacies. Unit Dose Solutions was founded out of this recognized need to improve patient safety within hospitals and long-term care facilities by reducing or eliminating errors in the administration of medicine to patients. The company serves as a trusted intermediary between hospital pharmacies that purchase most of their drug inventory from drug wholesalers.

Patient safety comes first at Unit Dose Solutions Inc., a pharmacy services outsourcing company based in Morrisville, N. C., with a second manufacturing facility in Harrison, N. J. The company's mission is to provide drug repackaging that improves tracking and patient safety in accordance with current good manufacturing practices. Unit Dose Solutions has customers that include UNC Health Care, Duke Medical Center, Coastal Carolinas Health Alliance, among many other acute care hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, long-term care hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare organizations. For more information, visit http://www. unitdoseinc. com (http://www. unitdoseinc. com).

Coastal Carolinas Health Alliance (http://www. coastalalliance. org (http://www. coastalalliance. org)) is a non-profit organization consisting of member hospitals located in southeastern North Carolina and northeastern South Carolina. The purpose of the Alliance is to provide a cooperative forum for improving the quality and delivery of healthcare to the citizens of the region.

How to Get a Locum Tenens Job: Tips to Have a Successful Locum Tenens Career

How to Get a Locum Tenens Job: Tips to Have a Successful Locum Tenens Career

David Baldridge, president of CompHealth’s locum tenens division, gives advice for providers looking for a locum tenens physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner job. Baldridge provides an overview of the locum tenens industry by answering ten basic questions, giving healthcare providers looking for locum tenens jobs the facts about what it’s like to have a locum tenens career, whether it’s right out of residency, as a career, or as a transition to retirement.

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) July 29, 2010

A physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner may have a lot of questions about the locum tenens lifestyle: What is a locum tenens career like? What kinds of facilities hire locum tenens providers? What are the current locum tenens career trends? David Baldridge, president of CompHealth (http://www. comphealth. com)’s locum tenens division, recently sat down with ReachMD for a Q-and-A session to answer these questions and more, with the goal to educate healthcare practitioners about what it’s like to have a locum tenens job.

Some highlights from the podcast interview include:
Who should consider a locum tenens job? Anyone. CompHealth works with doctors at any career stage. They can explore different practice settings and locations. Locum tenens jobs can be used to supplement income, bridge a gap between contracts, or as a full-time lifestyle.

What should a provider look for in a locums staffing firm? Size, breadth of services, and the opportunities available: location, types of facilities, specialties, length of time, etc. Make sure the firm caters to the appropriate specialties; CompHealth recruits and places every specialty. A good place to start is the member list on the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO) website.

What types of facilities use locum tenens docs? CompHealth works with just about every type of facility: rural community centers, hospitals, health networks, private practices, etc. Every facility has a need for a locum tenens provider to meet the demand in a variety of situations, including long-term recruiting and stop-gap, seasonal, maternity, or sabbatical coverage.

What can providers do to ensure they have a successful locum tenens career? Be thoughtful, do the homework and research, and talk to reputable locum tenens staffing firms. It’s a partnership; a recruiter should understand what a provider’s likes, dislikes and preferences are. Keep all paperwork, licensure, and credentialing in order.

Declare war on needles with new Dermaglow(TM) Pro-Peptide Advanced Wrinkle Therapy, the pharmacist formulated, non-surgical wrinkle cream that has taken the Canadian beauty market by storm. Selling over 8,000 units in the first four weeks of its launch, Advanced Wrinkle Therapy is now the no.1 anti-wrinkle cream in Canada. Clinical studies have shown Advanced Wrinkle Therapy visibly reduces fine wrinkle depth and “crows feet” by 50 percent whilst increasing collagen by a staggering 350% which improves skin texture on the face and body without surgery or age defying injections.

Pro-Peptide is a clinically proven formula containing breakthrough peptide ingredients that have a dual effect on wrinkles. Acetyl hexapeptide-3 acts as a muscle relaxant leading to a reduction in superficial lines and wrinkles. Palmitoyl Oligopeptide acts as a skin regenerator, stimulating collagen production, strengthening the epidermis. Potent antioxidants (A, B6, C, D and E) work to protect the skin and defend it against environmental damage and a blend of vitamins and essential oils provide moisturizing, anti-bacterial and soothing properties for instant softness and improved skin tone.

"The active ingredients in Dermaglow(TM) Pro-Peptide Advanced Wrinkle Therapy are clinically proven to confer a youthful, healthy and glowing complexion, without provoking irritation." says Calvin Davies, the research pharmacist behind the range. "This advanced technology composed of polypeptides - groups of multiple amino-acids formed in molecules acting as cellular messengers - makes anti-aging treatments available to everyone who has reservations about invasive procedures."

Wrinkle Therapy is part of the Dermaglow Pro Peptide range that includes Advanced Lip Plumper, Advanced Eye Therapy and Instant Wrinkle Eraser.
