Skincare in the 30's: How to Incorporate Anti-Aging Products into a Skin Care Routine

Skincare in the 30's: How to Incorporate Anti-Aging Products into a Skin Care Routine

Skincare-news. com explains how women in their 30's can both prevent and combat the beginning signs of aging.

Rancho Cordova, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2007

Women in their 30's are generally feeling pretty comfortable in their own skin - that is, with the exception of a few wrinkles. Skincare-News. com's latest article, "Skin Care in Your 30's," helps readers prevent aging and sun damage, as well as develop an appropriate skincare regimen.
Http://www. skincare-news. com/articles. php? ArtID=431 (http://www. skincare-news. com/articles. php? ArtID=431)

With the first signs of aging beginning to show, skincare in the thirties has evolved from working exclusively on prevention to a heavy dose of skin treatment as well. It is important for women in their 30's to build on the skin care regimen of the 20's - typically a cleanser, exfoliating product, and moisturizer - by incorporating anti-aging formulas. One such product is an eye cream. Look for eye creams that include Retinol, alpha hydroxy acids, copper, and vitamin C, because they stimulate collagen growth. Ingredients like vitamin K, kojic acid, and hydroquinone lighten the dark circles around the eyes.

Fine lines will also appear on the rest of the face, which is due to a lack of collagen. Retinoid products work by stimulating collagen production, and can reduce brown spots, smooth wrinkles, and fight other signs of aging. They also help treat acne. Another important skincare step is using serums daily, which will penetrate deep into the skin and provide hydration, giving radiance to a dull complexion. They should be used before a moisturizer.

Just like the face, hands will show signs of aging, such as sun spots, discoloration, and a dry cracked surface. Choose lotions with ingredients like glycerin and shea butter, or use an emollient option such as a thick face cream or hand balm - and don't forget that sunscreen isn't only for the face.

The skincare regimen in the 30's will contain many steps - sunscreen, cleanser, exfoliating product, eye cream, serum, and other anti-aging products, but remember that young and beautiful skin is irreplaceable! And be sure to research anti-aging products before purchasing, or better yet, talk to a dermatologist. All in all, healthy skin is about healthy habits; drinking, smoking, and sunbathing will quickly show their negative effects on both skin and body, so consider this before buying every anti-aging product on the market.

NYIT's School of Architecture and Design Ranked Top Four In Building Technology and Construction

NYIT's School of Architecture and Design Ranked Top Four In Building Technology and Construction

New York Institute of Technology's (NYIT) School of Architecture and Design was ranked by Architect magazine as one of the top four U. S. schools that excel in building technology and construction.

Old Westbury, N. Y. (Vocus) January 26, 2010

New York Institute of Technology’s (http://www. nyit. edu) (NYIT) School of Architecture and Design was ranked by Architect magazine as one of the top four U. S. schools that excel in building technology and construction.

The December 2009 issue’s Architecture Schools Guide praised NYIT as “a school that’s dedicated to producing career-ready graduates.” NYIT’s participation in the 2005 and 2007 international Solar Decathlon competitions was highlighted as an example of the kind of “technology taught at NYIT as the path to both a sustainable built environment and an efficient practice.”

“When I came to NYIT eight years ago, one of my many charges was to bring the quality of our student’s education into the public eye,” said Judith DiMaio, dean of the School of Architecture and Design. “This great accolade from Architect magazine is just one of the examples of our accomplishments. It is also a testament of the quality of our faculty and of the students who come to NYIT to pursue an architectural education, whether in design, building technology, construction, or history theory.”

Frank Mruk, associate dean of the School of Architecture and Design, added that “innovation is a provisional paradigm that increasingly requires technological intelligence to be infused into the systems and processes of experimentation on every level. We’re passionate about giving every student the opportunity to innovate and experiment to their fullest potential. We believe we can only be brilliant if our students are brilliant.”

NYIT’s School of Architecture and Design is unique in its reputation for educating students at the undergraduate level in the various disciplines of architecture, architectural technology, and interior design. Students are not only actively involved in externships, but have also been exposed to exchange programs that enable them to work with other students, cultures, and ultimately prepare them for the global workplace. The school has run exchange programs in conjunction with the University of Potsdam in Germany and the University of Chile in Santiago, and in China, among other locales. Upon completion of their undergraduate work, NYIT architecture and design students are accepted into top graduate programs and recruited by distinguished firms. In addition, NYIT offers a master’s degree in urban and regional design at its Manhattan campus.

Upon graduation, all NYIT students are prepared for careers as architects, as experts in architectural technology, and as interior designers through a combination of highly competitive and intensive studio instruction, lecture courses, structure courses, and hands-on exposure to these professions. Their knowledge base is supplemented by a public lecture series in which professionals are invited to present their work and share insights.

The School of Architecture and Design is affiliated with world-renowned architects such as Richard Meier, NYIT’s 2009 honorary degree recipient, and managing partner at Richard Meier & Partners Architects, LLP— who will be lecturing at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway on March 11—and David Childs, NYIT’s 2005 honorary degree recipient.

About NYIT:
NYIT is the college of choice for more than 15,000 students enrolled in more than 90 specialized courses of study leading to undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees in academic areas such as architecture and design; arts and sciences; education; engineering and computing sciences; health professions, behavioral, and life sciences; management; and osteopathic medicine. As a private, nonprofit, independent institution of higher learning, NYIT embraces an educational philosophy of career-oriented professional education for all qualified students and supports applications-oriented research to benefit the greater global community. Students attend classes at NYIT’s campuses in Manhattan and Long Island, as well as online and in a number of programs throughout the world. To date, more than 81,500 alumni have earned degrees at NYIT. For more information about NYIT, visit www. nyit. edu.

SC Magazine Strengthens Commitment to Canadian Information Security with Inaugural SC Congress Canada

SC Magazine Strengthens Commitment to Canadian Information Security with Inaugural SC Congress Canada

New Event Features Expected to be Canada's Largest IT Security Show - Canada's Leading Security Experts Weigh In November 16-17, 2010

Toronto (PRWEB) June 29, 2010

Today, SC Magazine (http://www. scmagazineus. com/) announced the SC Congress Canada (http://www. scmagazineus. com/sc-congress-canada/section/1502/), the newest venue for information security industry leaders to convene and discuss lessons learned and best practices to help organizations address the burgeoning landscape of security threats and regulatory mandates. Public registration will soon open for the SC Congress Canada taking place in Toronto on November 16-17, 2010.

Leveraging the pattern of success of the past two SC World Congress (http://www. scmagazineus. com/sc-world-congress-2010/section/1473/) events held in New York each year, SC Congress Canada will feature in-depth analysis of the latest security threats, industry trends and drivers that contribute to the overall profitability of organizations, all localized to the Canadian audience. The new event is being supported by numerous Canadian information security executives including the following confirmed keynote speakers:
Canada's Privacy Laws - Leading the Pack: Jennifer Stoddart, Canadian Privacy Commissioner Since taking on the role as commission in 2003, Commissioner Stoddart has overseen a number of important investigations, including those concerning the privacy policies and practices of the popular social networking site Facebook and a massive data breach at U. S. retail giant TJX. In her keynote, Commissioner Stoddart will provide insight and detail as to how and why the plethora of news around privacy and Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada benefits organizations, individuals and Canada.
Securing North Americas Power Grid: Dr. Ann Cavoukian, Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner; Scott D. Swartz, Energy Infrastructure and Cyber Security Advisor, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) This keynote will look at the latest threats and attack vectors as well as major privacy concerns regarding the North American Power Grid. The session will focus on why this security is critical, why you need to know and how you can help.
Canada's Health Sector Cracks Down on Removable Media with Encryption Laws: Dr. Ann Cavoukian, Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner

In this feature keynote, Commissioner Cavoukian addresses Canada's recent crackdown on removable media with encryption laws. While a 2007 health order required sensitive health information to be encrypted, portable drives continue to walk out the door with private information. In this keynote, Cavoukian addresses the issue and questions why, as an industry, we are slow to learn the threat portable media poses to managing private information.

More keynotes will be announced in the coming weeks. In addition to the keynotes from two of Canada's information security authorities, there will be high-quality breakout sessions led by other leading organizations in the following three tracks: Emerging Threats/Management, Technical, and Editor's Choice. SC Congress Canada attendees will learn about trends affecting mobile banking, securing the North American power grid and Canadian Health sector privacy laws, among other timely and relevant security topics, all lead by Canadian subject matter experts.

"For the past two years, the SC World Congress events have had tremendous success and engaged many of North America's security experts - helping educate security professionals on the current threat landscape and how to protect businesses and consumers from existing and emerging threats," said Illena Armstrong, editor-in-chief, SC Magazine. "We are excited to take that success and provide a more concentrated focus on Canadian information security. With an agenda packed with best practices from industry leaders, we are confident this event will be challenging and thought-provoking and will deliver solutions and discussions designed to help take the lead against today's cybercriminals."

"IBM's Platinum Sponsorship of the SC Congress event in Canada demonstrates a global commitment to improving risk management in the areas of Security and Business Resiliency across all industries and organizations," said William Wong, Market Segment Manager-Managing Risk Program, IBM Security Solutions and Business Continuity & Resiliency Services.
IBM joins fellow Platinum sponsors, Fortinet, Panda Security, Sophos and Symantec and Gold Sponsor MTS Allstream in helping to bring the event to Canada.

A full list of speakers, a conference agenda, media partners, sponsors and participant registration can be found at http://www. scmagazineus. com/sc-congress-canada/section/1502/ (http://www. scmagazineus. com/sc-congress-canada/section/1502/).

"I am looking forward to speaking at the inaugural SC Congress Canada event, with a view to adding a fresh, Canadian perspective to some complex global IT security issues," said Dr. Cavoukian, Information and Privacy Commissioner, Ontario, Canada. "The event promises to be an important addition to the calendar for IT security professionals in Canada."

North Carolina Approves Sanitec Microwave Medical Waste Treatment as First Environmentally Friendly Alternative to Pathology Incineration

North Carolina Approves Sanitec Microwave Medical Waste Treatment as First Environmentally Friendly Alternative to Pathology Incineration.

North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources approved Sanitec Industries' patented zero-emission Microwave Healthcare Waste Disinfection System for processing pathological waste. Sanitec is now the only other legal alternative to the incineration of pathology waste in North Carolina. Sanitec is prepared to immediately play a leading role in reducing the environmental and social costs of medical waste while offering both large and small healthcare providers a cost effective and ecological alternative to incineration.

Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) December 12, 2006

Raleigh, NC PRWeb) December 12, 2006 -- North Carolina is a national leader in medical research and health services, yet it is among a dwindling number of states that still permit incineration of medical waste, a significant cause of air pollutants including dioxin and mercury. In fact, North Carolina state law has required the incineration of pathology waste. Until now, that is.

On December 1, the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources approved Sanitec Industries' patented zero-emission Microwave Healthcare Waste Disinfection System™ for processing pathological waste.

"This is an important day for North Carolinians and their healthcare providers who have for years sought alternatives to medical waste incineration," said Sanitec Industries president, Jim Harkess. "As the only legal alternative to the incineration of pathology waste, we are honored to begin playing a leading role in reducing the environmental and social costs of medical waste while offering both large and small healthcare providers a cost effective and ecological alternative to incineration.

Though waste is an inevitable byproduct of providing medical services, North Carolina's approval of Sanitec's Microwave Disinfection System means that incineration has been relegated to an unattractive option. Sanitec currently serves hundreds of clients in North Carolina including the entire Novant Health system.

Unlike incineration and autoclaves, which merely transform biohazard material into other dangerous waste products including dioxin, Sanitec systems are self-contained disposal units that eliminate bacterial and viral pathogens. In addition to being certified zero emission, Sanitec's system significantly reduces the environmental impact of healthcare waste by reducing the volume of the landfill-bound material by up to 80 percent, which, according to Harkess "means far fewer diesel burning bio-waste laden tractor trailers on our roads and lower disposal costs for healthcare providers."

Sanitec is now approved for treatment of all non-radiological and non-fetal healthcare waste in North Carolina and certified for disposal in any municipal landfill without any further permitting. Earlier this year the EPA and North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Protection endorsed Sanitec for the treatment of bird carcasses in the event of an Avian Flu outbreak at a poultry plant.

The Sanitec system works by first shredding untreated waste and adds high-pressure high temperature steam. The shredded material then moves through an auger where six industrial microwaves cook the material from the inside out. The process is certified emission free and the end product is reduced in volume by 80 percent, dramatically reducing the burden on landfills.

There are currently more than fifteen medical waste incinerators remaining in North Carolina.

About Sanitec Industries, Inc.

Sanitec Industries, Inc. is the global patent holder for the Sanitec® Microwave Healthcare Waste Disinfection System™. Healthcare facilities nationwide, ranging from large hospital systems to single practitioner doctors' offices, utilize Sanitec systems to transform dangerous healthcare waste into low-volume, unrecognizable non-infectious material that requires no further treatment and can be safely disposed of in municipal landfills. Sanitec™ units are fully automated, self-contained and are approved for use in all 50 states and DC. Worldwide, Sanitec systems have treated over 500 million pounds of infectious waste.

Successful Defense for Trucking Company & Driver Jury Finds in Favor of Hermes Sargent BatesÂ’ Defendants

Successful Defense for Trucking Company & Driver Jury Finds in Favor of Hermes Sargent BatesÂ’ Defendants

Hermes Sargent Bates partner Monte Hurst and associate Blake Riordan successfully represented Crete Carrier Corporation, one of the largest trucking companies in the country, and its driver in a personal injury lawsuit. On May 16, the Dallas Country jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the defendants.

Dallas, (PRWEB) May 28, 2005

Hermes Sargent Bates partner Monte Hurst and associate Blake Riordan successfully represented Crete Carrier Corporation, one of the largest trucking companies in the country, and its driver in a personal injury lawsuit. On May 16, the Dallas Country jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the defendants.

The plaintiffs, a husband and wife who were involved in the collision with the tractor-trailer, sued the trucking company and its driver, alleging that the truck driver had negligently reversed his truck into the plaintiffsÂ’ vehicle while attempting to correct his passage through a u-turn lane.

At trial, the defendants demonstrated that the truck driver had followed the proper procedure in reversing his truck. They also argued that the husband, who was the driver of the vehicle, failed to take precautions to avoid the collision, in fact causing the collision by improperly attempting to pass the rear of the truck while it was in reverse.

After a two-day trial, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the defendants, finding that the husband was responsible for the accident and that the plaintiffs were not entitled to any damages.

“Clearly, the jury recognized the distinct difference between what the plaintiffs claimed to have happened and what actually happened, “ says Mr. Hurst. “The evidence spoke for itself; we just presented it in a simple and succinct manner."

The SCOOTER Store Donates Power Wheelchair to Colorado Iraq War Veteran Wounded in Baghdad

The SCOOTER Store Donates Power Wheelchair to Colorado Iraq War Veteran Wounded in Baghdad

Gift of Mobility Makes Life Easier for Soldier who Lost Both Legs in Deadly Ambush

Washington, D. C. (PRWEB) December 4, 2007

Army Spc. Thomas Graham is a man with many plans, despite losing both legs in Iraq before he turned 24. Citing Spc. Graham’s sacrifices for his country, The SCOOTER Store (http://www. thescooterstore. com/) has donated a power wheelchair to improve his quality of life and help him bring those plans to reality.

In July, life changed suddenly for Spc. Graham, a member of the 3rd Infantry Division, during his second deployment in Iraq. While patrolling Sadr City, a section of Baghdad, in a Humvee, Spc. Graham saw “a bright light” and then came the explosion. His vehicle was struck, killing two soldiers and seriously injuring him and two others. Doctors had no choice but to amputate his legs. After a brief stay in a military hospital in Germany, Spc. Graham was transported to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D. C.

Spc. Graham spends his days in physical therapy, appointments and formation meetings with his unit. Because his upper body is unimpaired, Spc. Graham does not qualify for a power wheelchair from the military. He struggles to maneuver the manual chair he has been provided. He notes the difficulty in rolling up sloped streets and over the thick carpet where he is being housed.

Today, The SCOOTER Store hopes to make his life easier. The nation’s largest supplier of power wheelchairs (http://www. thescooterstore. com/products/powerchairs. aspx) and scooters (http://www. thescooterstore. com/products/scooters. aspx) donated a power wheelchair to Spc. Graham as part of its “Gift of Mobility” program, which donates mobility equipment to physically-challenged individuals in need. The company partnered with the ADL Foundation/Mobility Aids for the Uninsured based in Alamogordo, N. M. to make the donation to Spc. Graham.

“We appreciate the enormous sacrifice he has made and we are proud that we can help him improve his mobility and independence with this gift,” said Doug Harrison, CEO and Founder of The SCOOTER Store. “Everyone at The SCOOTER Store is honored to play a role in helping someone as courageous as Spc. Graham.” Jennifer Hook and George Carter, Account Managers of The SCOOTER Store’s Baltimore location delivered the power wheelchair to Spc. Graham.

Two weeks ago, Spc. Graham had called The SCOOTER Store after he saw a television advertisement about their products. He wanted to find out the cost of a power mobility device. The following week he was surprised to receive a call from The SCOOTER Store with an offer for a donated power wheelchair as part of the Gift of Mobility program. Spc. Graham says he “could not say thank you enough,” and is excited that his “life will be made a little easier,” with greater independence and mobility.

When Spc. Graham is discharged next spring or summer, he plans to move back to Arvada, Colorado, near Denver, to live in a house he is building that is specially-designed to accommodate him. He looks forward to restoring his 1996 Firebird Trans Am and will volunteer at a VA Hospital and an organization that aids needy children.

Already, he has taken a vacation in Hawaii, which was planned before his injuries. He says he was determined not let his physical condition stop him from traveling.

Mr. Harrison and his wife, Susanna, started the Gift of Mobility program in December 2002 to help people like Spc. Graham improve their quality of life by recovering their independence and mobility. Since then, the outreach program has worked with organizations around the world to donate power wheelchairs, scooters and manual wheelchairs valued at more than $200,000 a year to community service organizations, enabling them to provide freedom and independence to individuals with limited mobility.

Research and Markets: Market for Biocides in Sick Building Syndrome to Increase By 10% per Annum

Dublin--Research and Markets (researchandmarkets. com/reports/c12605) has announced the addition of Biocides Used as Agents in Control of Sick Building Syndrome to their offering.

(PRWEB) February 7, 2005

This report provides in depth information on the market for biocides used as agents in the control of Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). It includes interviews with over 360 manufacturers of biocide treated products.

Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) results from an environment where air quality is reduced due to the growth of microbes such as bacteria and fungi (mold). SBS is a growing problem in buildings that are well insulated and have less air exchange, resulting in the potential for increased bacteria and fungi growth. The problem is often exacerbated by central heating and air conditioning systems, which may increase the spreading and re-circulating of microbes.

Biocides used as agents in controlling SBS, are finding an increasing usage in coatings, construction products, plastics and textiles where antiallergy / antimold and health claims are made. These claims are based upon the ability of Biocides to control the number of microbes that live on the surface of treated articles. The total market for specialty Biocides was over $ 200 million at manufacture level in 2004. Biocide usage as SBS agents are broadly used over 3 main areas namely Coatings & construction products, Plastics & Textiles.

The future growth for Biocides used as SBS agents is predicted to be at least 10 % per year. Most interviewee's believe that there is an opportunity to sell products that will improve the environment by reducing mould, odours and dangerous bacteria such as MRSA type bacteria.

In addition to profiles of 360 manufacturers of biocide treated products, the report also provides an overview of the biocides used as SBS agents with value and volume data for each biocide. This is followed by a summary for each of the biocide suppliers that are active in the SBS sector. Industry influences on the biocides market are also discussed including the impact of current and emerging regulations on the biocides used. The report concludes with forecasts for biocides used as agents in SBS control.

The scope of the study is North America and Western Europe. The overview section provides extended definitions of the biocides to provide the reader with a clear understanding of the technology involved. In addition, this section provides an analysis of biocide consumption by application and region. There is a profile of an ideal biocide as outlined by end users.

The company profiles section includes a discussion of the companies that have pioneered biocide development as SBS agents and examines how their available products and services are setting the standards. In this report more than 360 end users are profiled, and 20 of the most important biocide suppliers are examined in depth. The base year for this study is 2004.

Catherine Rogers Jonsson Leads Art Therapy Workshops for Educators, Mental Health Providers: Healing Children Through Creativity

Catherine Rogers Jonsson (MFA, MA, ATR) offers two workshops on Healing Children through Creativity at the University of Georgia – Athens at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education on May 30-31, 2007 and at Johns Hopkins University on the Homewood Campus in Baltimore on June 4-5, 2007.

Lidköping, Sweden (PRWEB) April 12, 2007

Catherine Rogers Jonsson (MFA, MA, ATR) offers two workshops on Healing Children through Creativity at the University of Georgia – Athens at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education on May 30-31, 2007 and at Johns Hopkins University on the Homewood Campus in Baltimore on June 4-5, 2007.

“Most children finger paint, draw with crayons and play with clay. These activities teach creativity which helps children in all aspects of life. When children become depressed, abused, traumatized or medically stressed art expression is a natural way to communicate difficult feelings. In fact, children need to learn to identify feelings and how to express them in socially acceptable ways,” said Catherine Rogers Jonsson.

The Healing Children through Creativity Workshops introduce the basic principles and practice of art therapy with emotionally and behaviorally troubled children to educators and mental health providers.

“Affective lessons are a key part of the treatment offered by Art Therapists through the therapeutic use of drawing, painting and sculpture. Art therapists also conduct art therapy evaluations which provide mental health clinicians and educators a vivid picture of a child's inner life,” Catherine Rogers Jonsson said.

The two-day workshops blend theories and experiential exercises offering a thorough introduction in use of visual art as a powerful treatment modality for children. Participants are provided with a large assortment of art materials and invited to draw, paint and sculpt art therapeutic exercises that help troubled and medically stressed children identify and express their thoughts, feelings, conflicts, strengths and increase their self-esteem and coping skills.

“Art therapeutic exercises, such as the ones offered in the workshops at the University of Georgia-Athens and Johns Hopkins University, provide a creative structure where children identify and express emotions, conflicts, foster self-awareness, explore problem solving, describe their identity, reveal relationship issues and increase self-esteem. The goal of art therapy is to heal through creativity,” said Catherine Rogers Jonsson.

Catherine Rogers Jonsson, MFA, MA, ATR, is a registered art therapist with the American Art Therapy Certification Board (ATR, 1992) and a credentialed professional member of the American Art Therapy Association. She is a graduate of Columbia University in NYC (School of the Arts, MFA: Visual Art) and the University of Wisconsin-Superior (MA: Art Therapy). Catherine has conducted more than 15 art and creativity in healing workshops since 1992. She brings a mixture of compassionate insights, dynamic teaching and spirited humor to her art therapy-based workshops.

Legadero Software Announces New Customers and the General Availability of Legadero Tempo 5.1, Providing Enhanced User Dashboard to Make Technology Investments More Business Relevant and Successful

Legadero Software Announces New Customers and the General Availability of Legadero Tempo 5.1, Providing Enhanced User Dashboard to Make Technology Investments More Business Relevant and Successful

Legadero, the leader in IT Governance solutions, announces several new customers, including Clorox, Arundel Health, Memory Pharmaceuticals, NTT Verio, City of Houston and Continental Automotive Systems, and the General Availability of Tempo Governance Suite 5.1, with fully configurable user dashboard, enhanced reporting and enhanced project management.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) November 18, 2004

“We continue to gain market acceptance with a growing customer base. Our 5.1 release meets the needs of IT management professionals in meaningful ways. It makes reporting more flexible and useful and allows our request, project, service and asset management dashboards to be customized on the fly by users. There are also new features that allow very large projects with multiple phases and hundreds of tasks to be planned and managed more easily. All of these are features our customers have requested,” says Greg Rice, President of Legadero.

Mr. Rice describes how customers are using Legadero Tempo; “We are helping our customers revolutionize their business processes in providing executive visibility to IT planning and execution in many large accounts right now with Tempo. Customers use the solution to tackle time-tracking, project tracking, leading edge project management, resource management, request management, investment prioritization, and contract management.

LegaderoÂ’s IT Governance Solution

Legadero Tempo addresses the major business challenges faced by all IT organizations. Legadero Tempo makes it easy for IT organizations to gain cross-organizational consensus on the best ways to invest corporate resources. Legadero Tempo also makes sure that those investments are made efficiently and with a minimum of risk in the context of available resources. Legadero Tempo accelerates execution, dramatically improves visibility and makes it easy to understand and manage the business impact of investments in terms of benefit, cost and risk.

The Legadero Tempo Governance Suite is integrated with MS Project and MS Excel, and includes Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and MS Active Directory Authentication.

Legadero Tempo in Action

Legadero Tempo has been implemented in many large accounts. Says Mr. Rice, “One of the great things I see after our implementations is how much the IT professionals see immediate day-to-day benefit. With a consolidated view for the executives and internal customers there is definitive prioritization and clear direction that is often lacking in IT. Resources are allocated effectively rather than unrealistically, and the net result is that IT groups work more cohesively toward company goals.”

While these results are impressive, many companies have had very frustrating implementation experiences with enterprise software with similar claims. Unlike other conventional software approaches, Legadero Tempo is a 100% server based J2EE application that utilizes secure web browser interfaces via HTML. Implementation and customization to company business processes is done in five days or less.

About Legadero Software

Legadero Software, founded in February of 2001, is a developer of Information Technology Governance solutions that help Information Technology leaders execute their responsibilities more effectively in the context of business goals and in collaboration with other business leaders.

Butterfly Social Events Website (http://www. butterflysocialevents. co. uk/)
Butterfly Social Events is a new London social club offering an interesting mixture of social and cultural activities to adults around London. Our range of events includes dinners, drinks evenings, guided walks, afternoon teas, parties, theatre evenings and gallery visits. Butterfly Social Events offers its members friendship, fun and a full social diary. Our management team has over 20 years of experience in running events, offering our members a wide range of well organised, enjoyable events, along with a friendly bunch of like-minded people.

The Value of Social Clubs such as Butterfly Social Events:
London is such a busy place that it is easy to feel isolated at times. In fact, just over half of singles flag loneliness as the biggest stress factor in their lives. According to FDS International forecasts, there will be an increase in single person households from the already significant 30% of households of today, to 34% in 2019. This will mean an additional 1.8 million single person households. These figures suggest that feelings of isolation in London are likely to increase. It is especially lonely for singles after a relationship ends, or after a bereavement.

It is often quite a challenge for newcomers to meet people in London. Even locals can find it difficult when their friends move out of London, or start a family, as their regular social crowd can simply evaporate. Busy professionals, who are either in a relationship, or single, can also feel that it’s all work and no play, as they simply don’t have the time to arrange social activities. This is where social clubs like Butterfly Social Events can help. The club provides access to an instant social circle, with a wide range of events to select from, so that its members can keep their social diaries as busy as they want them be and maximise their leisure time.

With Alarming Increase in Food Allergies, a New Type of Food Store Helps Families Cope with Special Diets

With Alarming Increase in Food Allergies, a New Type of Food Store Helps Families Cope with Special Diets

A mother experienced with shopping for a multiple food allergic child has opened Navan Foods, a food store designed to help other families following special diets. Every product in the store is labeled with information regarding the ingredients it is made without as well as information regarding the manufacturing environment. Navan Foods also offers a database by which customers can search for foods based on specific allergens in addition to an in-store reference library. The founder hopes that Navan Foods will provide an easy, fast shopping experience where customers can buy food confidently.

Virginia Beach, VA (PRWEB) May 10, 2008

A local mother with a multiple food allergic child has created a store built on the concept of removing the challenges of shopping for special diets. Whether due to food allergies or other disorders like Celiac Sprue or Autism, many families are following diets that require the avoidance of certain ingredients such as peanuts, gluten, dairy, and many others. Navan Foods (http://www. navanfoods. com) opened its doors to help families like these.

Jennifer Elizondo, founder of Navan Foods, says, "I created this store in an image of what I would want in a grocery store. I shop for a child with food allergies and realized that there was a need for a store like mine. I wanted to create an easy, fast shopping experience where individuals can buy food in confidence."

What separates this store from other grocery or health food stores are the services offered by Navan Foods. Ms. Elizondo developed a detailed questionnaire, sending it to all manufacturers of the food to be carried in her store. The questionnaire asked about ingredients, as well as the manufacturing environment, which can cause a cross-contamination problem for potential allergens if they are present in the facility. The information was then used to create a product card that provides the customer with specific information about each product while shopping. "There have been many times that I have called a manufacturer right from the grocery store aisle," says Ms. Elizondo. Improve Your Loving and Sexual Abilities Advises Licensed Psychologist Doris Jeanette To Reduce Depression, Anxiety and Violence

Improve Your Loving and Sexual Abilities Advises Licensed Psychologist Doris Jeanette To Reduce Depression, Anxiety and Violence

Learning to improve our relationships can enhance life and increase health and happiness.

(PRWEB) October 4, 2003

Phil. PA, 10-03. The Sexual Revolution came and went, leaving us with AIDS, sex addiction and violence. "We are not more secure, mature or capable," says psychologist Doris Jeanette, Psy. D. Priests sexually abuse young clients; famous male athletics get arrested for rape, rock stars brag about female conquests and wives are so depressed that they don't make love to husbands.

"It seems obvious that we need to improve our ability to love each other" continues Dr. Jeanette, "but sexually we have not even gotten out of the starting gate." Jeanette has helped thousands of people refine their relationship abilities, since being trained as a sex therapist in 1975 at Temple Medical School when she studied with Joe Wolpe, MD, father of Behavior Therapy.

"People need help in accepting their sexual feelings without so much shame and judgment. Then they can learn to utilization the healthy energy in their body, heart and emotions for creative, noble living." Jeanette is Director of the Center for the New Psychology, (drjeanette. com) a holistic center that studies how to help people access and use more of their human potential.

Jeanette reminds us that "Our sexual energy belongs to us, not to our partner. This vital force moving through our cells can easily reduce depression, anxiety and violence." Psychological research has long known that physical affection is essential for healthy human development and that it reduces violence across cultures.

It is well established that people need to relate to each other to be happy and healthy. "So our job is to help them improve their sexual and loving abilities so that they can experience more success, fulfillment and joy in all their relationships and in everyday living."

For people wishing to improve rather than embarrass themselves, The Center for the New Psychology offers free information and data about Dr. Jeanette's Outdoor Nature Workshop Oct. 25, 2003 at http://www. drjeanette. com (http://www. drjeanette. com) Call: 215-732-6197

IBS Relief - New Hypnosis Program Reduces Symptoms

IBS Relief - New Hypnosis Program Reduces Symptoms

IBS, irritable bowel syndrome, effects 1 of every 7 adults. Relief is available based on the largest long-term study to date using hypnosis. 7 out of 10 patients reported an improvement in symptoms after treatment.

Woburn, MA (PRWEB) June 25, 2006

IBS, irritable bowel syndrome, effects 1 of every 7 adults. Relief is available based on the largest long-term study to date using hypnosis. Seven out of 10 patients reported an improvement in symptoms after treatment.

What is IBS?

IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) is a common disorder of the digestive system that leads to cramps and pain, gassiness, bloating, and changes in bowel habits. Many doctors believe there is a psychological component to IBS, in which stress, can lead to physical symptoms in the gut.

The Cause

The exact cause of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is not known. For many years, doctors thought irritable bowel syndrome was mainly a condition of the mind. After all, these patients always had normal physical exams, and many said they noticed symptoms only during times of stress.

The Solution

A new study shows hypnosis as an effective, long-term therapy for the poorly understood and hard-to-treat gastrointestinal disorder known as irritable bowel syndrome. In the largest long-term study of hypnotherapy for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) to date, seven out of 10 patients reported an improvement in symptoms after treatment.

Hypnosis for IBS Relief? "I'm a believer," says gastroenterologist Cynthia M. Yoshida, MD, director of the Women's GI Clinic at the Digestive Health Center of Excellence at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.

At a meeting of the World Congress of Psychosomatic Medicine, gastroenterologist Peter Whorwell, MD, discussed more than 20 years of research showing hypnosis improves symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and can even alter the underlying physical problems that cause the symptoms.

Internationally recognized, NGH Board Certified Hypnotist and Certified Instructor Tom Nicoli has created a new hypnosis audio program for IBS relief. The success and effectiveness of his work was first witnessed on Dateline NBC and has been written about by Harvard Medical School Hypnosis Instructor, Jean Fain, LISCW when she rated Tom's hypnosis audio CD's for weight loss as "The best of the bunch" in Shape magazine.

"Thank You Tom Nicoli. You're a gift to us all looking for what is clearly the easiest and fastest way to improved overall well-being." Warm Regards, Stacy P.

"Thank you so much. Your product has been wonderful and such a life changing miracle for me." Michelle

The Power of Collaboration: Triangle Community Foundation Helps Leadership Triangle Class Grant $10,000 to Three Triangle Nonprofits

The Power of Collaboration: Triangle Community Foundation Helps Leadership Triangle Class Grant $10,000 to Three Triangle Nonprofits

Triangle Community Foundation recently helped the 2005 Leadership Triangle "Will You Lead I," The Regional Leadership Program class, grant $10,000 to three local nonprofits through a class project designed to be an exercise in collaboration and philanthropic experience.

(PRWEB) July 3, 2005

Guided by Triangle Community Foundation staff, the 2005 Leadership Triangle “Will You Lead I"-The Regional Leadership Program” class, recently granted $10,000 to three local nonprofits through a class project designed to be an exercise in collaboration and philanthropic experience. Beverley Francis, the Foundation’s Director of Philanthropic Services, facilitated the project, and helped the class identify each participant’s philanthropic interest and come to consensus in developing a mission for the class’ giving.

“The process is just as important as the final outcome,” says Winkie LaForce, Executive Director of Leadership Triangle. “The participants, who are vastly different from one another in many ways, have to listen to each other, give and take, come to a consensus, and meet the class’ philanthropic mission.”

The group started with $5,000, which includes contributions from Capitol Broadcasting and the Kellogg Foundation. An additional $5,000 was leveraged by class participants Patrick Barnes and Mike Cross, both Chatham County Commissioners.

Four thousand dollars from the original pool was granted to NC Rural Communities Assistance Program (NCRCAP) for the Healthy Homes for All Program and the Safe Housing Initiative. The additional $5,000 raised by Chatham County Commissioners Barnes and Cross also benefited the organization. Through the Healthy Homes for All Project and the Safe Housing Initiative, NCRCAP works to address the housing conditions of rural Chatham County families. The goal of Healthy Homes for All is to provide tools for rural Latino families to effectively increase the health and safety of their homes. Through the Safe Housing Initiative Program, NCRCAP works with families living without indoor plumbing or who have inadequate water and wastewater facilities.

“Living without water in your home is a hardship,” says Commissioner Cross. “We know there are many citizens in Chatham County without indoor plumbing, and we committed to matching the grant as long as the money was spent in Chatham County.” He shares, “At the Board of Commissioners meeting a citizen from the Governor’s Club who was present kicked in the additional $1,000.”

“The $9,000 received will greatly impact NCRCAP and the area residents we serve. Funding for these programs allows NCRCAP to provide services to rural families who often have no other means of receiving assistance,” says Nina Baccanari, Associate Director of NCRCAP. “Upon hearing that Chatham County Commissioners Barnes and Cross had raised additional dollars, I was overwhelmed by the effort they had made to support our organization and our mission. NCRCAP is pleased to have the continued support of our County Commissioners as we work to assist rural communities on public health and environmental issues.”

Chapel Hill-based EmPOWERment Inc. and Raleigh-based Loaves and Fishes Ministry Inc. each received $500 from the class. EmPOWERment Inc. strives to help the underserved population take control of their destinies through affordable housing, community organizing and grassroots economic development. Loaves and Fishes provides support for children at high risk of failure through after school enrichment programs.

“This is my second year working with Leadership Triangle members to understand the relationship between their personal values and their roles as leaders in the community, and how that translates in their personal and collective philanthropy,” says Beverley Francis, Director of Philanthropic Services for Triangle Community Foundation. “It’s been a wonderful experience!”

Vegas Food Show Hot Sauce Sensation Organic Originals™ Chili Pepper Sauces Now Available Online

Vegas Food Show Hot Sauce Sensation Organic Originals™ Chili Pepper Sauces Now Available Online

The tiny hot sauce company Organic Originals, whose flavorful chili pepper sauces were a surprise hit at the huge FMI Food Trade Show in Las Vegas last month, is now offering all four of its varieties online at its website: www. organicoriginals. org.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 25, 2010

Even “Papa Georgio and Gramma Dee” as they are known by their rabidly loyal customers, were shocked at the impact their small booth made at the FMI trade show in Las Vegas in May. They were inundated by both retail and wholesale taste-testers who raved about the product and wanted immediate production and pricing information. By the end of three days their samples were long gone and their order book was full.

Not even a year old, Organic Originals LLC is literally a Mom and Pop company. Founded in October of 2009 by husband and wife team George Ball and DeeDee Rescher Ball of Long Beach, CA, the company’s local popularity has grown supersonically by food merchandising standards. In addition to its home website (http://www. organicoriginals. org), Organic Originals sauces are also available online at the popular site www. armadillopepper. com, and are already offered in two Southern California retail stores (the health food mecca Erewhon, in West Hollywood and the specialty shop Hot Licks in Long Beach) and several restaurants, among them local favorite Bear Flag Fish Company, where customers have actually walked out upon learning that their beloved Organic Originals hot sauce was temporarily out of stock.

Why the unprecedented success?

“It’s all about the taste,” says co-founder George Ball. “Which comes straight from the quality of the ingredients. We use hydroponically-grown organic peppers from all over the world, hand-picked vine-ripened tomatoes, organic agave and fruit juices, sea salt and other spices … but no preservatives, ever. And our sauces aren’t 90% vinegar, as are many others on the market.”

Also, they don’t kill your palate. “Although they’re plenty spicy, the bottom line is how they enhance food,” adds co-founder DeeDee Rescher Ball (who also, as DeeDee Rescher, happens to be a successful film and TV actress in her other day job – check her out at www. IMBD. com). “Our sauces are amazingly versatile – they really are scrumptious on everything you put them on, from fish to chicken to beef to vegetables to sauces, marinades and salad dressings. People are always telling us about another new and wonderful way to use them. One of our devoted customers even loves using Pura Vida, our signature sauce, on chocolate pudding. I kid you not!”

Organic Originals’ four delectable flavors are:

Pura Vida (or ‘Pure Life’): the company’s original flavor, a blend of jalapeno and habanero peppers, sweet onions, organic blue agave, lush tomatoes and secret spices.

Femme Fatalii: made with the legendary golden fatalii pepper from central Africa, along with organic pineapple and orange juice and unique spices that make it the best thing that ever happened to fish.

Hotte Chocolatte: using the delectable chocolate habanero, is spicy-hot, made with organic chocolate and sweet cherries. Akin to mole--rich, smoky and addictive.

Fantasma: the hottest pepper in the world, the mythic Ghost Pepper, or Bhut Jolokia, from northeastern India, blended with a unique recipe of organic juices. Muy caliente and utterly mouth watering.

About Organic Originals, LLC: “Papa Georgio and Gramma Dee” started growing and harvesting organic tomatoes, peppers and sweet Maui onions in their garden in Long Beach, California several years ago. Soon they needed creative ways to use their ever-increasing crops of this delicious home-grown produce, and hot chili sauce seemed like the perfect match. Through the years Papa Georgio created and tweaked dozens of different recipes, growing and testing a growing array of peppers from all over the world. When the results were taste-tested on friends and family the response was so overwhelming that eventually Papa Georgio decided to semi-retire his boat business and get serious about selling hot sauce to the public. These days, having long outgrown their kitchen garden, they have their exotic varieties of peppers grown for them at an organic hydroponic farm in San Diego, California.

As a company, Organic Originals is unique for another reason: its charitable heart. Years ago on a Latin American trip DeeDee and George visited a wildlife sanctuary called Fundacion Santuario Silvestre de Osa (http://www. osawildlife. org (http://www. osawildlife. org)), a non-profit organization wholly committed to providing rehabilitation for orphaned, injured and displaced animals indigenous to the southern zone of the Costa Rican jungle. Permanently touched by the poignant stories of these endangered creatures, they’ve pledged that a percentage of proceeds from every bottle of Organic Originals Chili Sauce will go to the Silvestre Sanctuary.

Interested readers can email organicoriginals (at) gmail (dot) com to get a subscription to Organic Originals’ hilarious newsletter, “The Daily Newspepper” which is in fact not daily but more like every other month. In it you will find updates on all activities along with the latest installment of the comic adventures of the Eddie Bueno, the company’s irreverent pepper mascot.

To try Organic Originals’ mouthwatering sauces for yourself, visit them online at www. organicoriginals. org. For wholesale pricing and terms, retailers and distributors can call the company at (562) 708-1863 or email DeeDee and George at organicoriginals (at) gmail (dot) com.

Dubai, UAE (PRWEB) January 10, 2006

Leading luxury lifestyle provider, DAMAC Properties, has laid down the foundation for its second project at Jumeirah Lake Towers, Lake View. Around 5,000 cubic meters of concrete were poured into the site, signaling the start of the construction of the 40-storey tower.

The complex offers restaurants, retail outlets and children's crèche, a huge infinity swimming pool, fully equipped gymnasium, and health facilities.

“Today’s step marks the continuation of DAMAC’s commitment to its customers. By laying the foundation for the tower, we are proceeding on schedule and plan to deliver the final tower on time,” commented Peter Riddoch, CEO at DAMAC Properties.

We are working with international and regional architects to develop concepts that blend in with the economic growth and culture of Dubai,” added Riddoch.

2005 has been an incredible year for DAMAC Properties with the launch of Ocean Heights, an 82-storey stunning development in Dubai Marina, Executive Heights, the company’s first solely commercial tower; The Crescent, the first residential development at the International Media Production Zone, and the launch of DAMAC’s commercial division that handles sales for retail and commercial spaces offered in all DAMAC’s properties.

DAMAC also signed MoUs with Mashreqbank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank to provide home loans to buyers within DAMAC’s properties.

The total value of DAMAC Properties’ projects is over AED 10 Billion. It is a subsidiary of DAMAC Holding established in 1982.
