Located in the Centegra Health Center - Huntley, the Centegra Weight-Loss Surgery Center offers a multidisciplinary approach to significant weight loss for individuals when all other attempts at weight loss have failed. This is a comprehensive approach to the whole person that combines surgery with behavior-based counseling, exercise and nutritional counseling to achieve the most effective results possible. Following surgery, patients are encouraged to participate in a support group that further encourages them as they stick to the program and achieve weight loss goals.

Centegra’s bariatric program is unique in its approach to the care of the morbidly obese patient. The following characteristics set Centegra apart:
Personalized continuum of care available to patients through our multidisciplinary clinic  Team of registered nurses, nutritionists, mental health clinicians, exercise physiologists and other healthcare professionals  Comprehensive support services  Commitment to the long-term support and care of our patients

Centegra’s extensive bariatric services program offers everything candidates need from informational meetings and pre-operative classes, to postoperative support and exercise programs. The commitment to patients does not end after surgery. The lifelong support system will monitor long-term health status and weight loss success.

Centegra’s minimally-invasive surgery procedures include:
Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass  Laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LapBand and Realize Band)  Laparoscopic gastric sleeve  Surgical revisions

Centegra Health System, Dr. Heydari and Centegra Weight-Loss Surgery Center have been named an American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
