Stefan Calos of Sands Anderson Law Firm Recognized for Efforts in Historic Preservation
Stefan M. Calos, a member of the Business, Finance and Real Estate practice and shareholder in the law firm of Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, was given the Heritage Award recently by the Historic Hopewell Foundation, Inc. in recognition of his pro bono legal work as Foundation General Counsel.

Stefan M. Calos, a member of the Business, Finance and Real Estate practice and shareholder in the law firm of Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, was given the Heritage Award recently by the Historic Hopewell Foundation, Inc. in recognition of his pro bono legal work as Foundation General Counsel.
"(He) has provided invaluable and expert legal advice and service to Historic Hopewell Foundation throughout the year. His many hours of pro bono work related to preserving the local history are recognized and commended.," reads the award presented by Dr. Jane McCullen, president and chair of the Board of Trustees, and Robert Smith, first vice president, at the Foundation's annual meeting on June 12, held at Weston Manor on the Appomattox River.
Calos, who readily admits to a lifelong passion for historic preservation and his native city of Hopewell, is a past chair of the city's Architectural Review Board. His law practice encompasses a wide array of business and real estate transactions and issues, small business financing matters, trust and estate planning, and counsel to clients regarding historic rehabilitation tax credits.
