Terri McClernon, The Food Fairy, North Carolina's favorite personal chef, launched her first in a series of cook along DVD's. This title, “Cook Once ~ Eat For Weeks”, brings her years of culinary experience right into your home. You will fly around the kitchen with Terri and in ninety minutes end up with 8 servings of 3 delicious nutritious meals for your family. “She guides the viewer through each step of preparation, cooking, and storage.

"I can now bring my years of personal chef experience right into your home," Terri says. "This is the first in a series of DVDs where I will be like a fairy on your shoulder: chopping, cooking and packaging along with you, while you prepare delicious, nutritious meals for you and your family", she continued.

The Food Fairy has been spreading her magic as a personal chef in N. C. for over thirteen years and has cooked for some of the most well known names in the fast growing Triangle area. She has been nourishing and nurturing the community through food education, as well as her personal chef and party catering services. Terri has been featured in Southern Living Magazine and other periodicals and was recently selected to cater meals and snacks for the live production of A Prairie Home Companion in Durham, North Carolina. Host Garrison Keillor said,

“A Prairie Home Companion never ate so well as when the Food Fairy fed us backstage at Durham in May 2009 – all fresh and light and healthy – just as we wish our show could be."

Financing for the DVD was provided through the Chatham Loan Fund, a new partnership between the Chatham County Economic Development Corporation and the Center for Community Self-Help. The loan to The Food Fairy is the first loan closed from the Fund. McClernon premiered the new DVD at an event co-hosted by Chatham County Economic Development Corporation at the Chatham Mills venue. Fairy food, beverages and music by The Haw River Rounders were just some of the highlights of the event. McClernon and her chefs offer a number of services “People are so busy these days,” she said. “So The Food Fairy not only caters for them, but to them. We’re here to be a personal chef for families and parties, but we’ll also cater retreats and business functions, do meal planning, organize the kitchen, create specialty diet recipe development – whatever will make life easier. I bring great, nutritious food into people’s lives – but I also bring caring and commitment.”
