EFFIE® Awards Appoint Global Advisory Board To Grow the Global EFFIE Awards Competition

Board comprised of top level marketers from fortune 500 corporations who recognize the value of effective multinational campaigns.

A Global Advisory Board comprised of top marketers from major international corporations from IBM to McDonald’s has been established to help aggressively grow the Global EFFIE Awards, which were created to honor marketing campaigns that have proven their effectiveness in multiple markets worldwide.

The Call for Entries deadline for the Global EFFIEs is January 12, 2006. To be eligible to enter the Global EFFIEs, a campaign must have run in four or more countries worldwide and two or more regions of the world. The Global EFFIE Awards will be announced on the evening of June 7, 2006 at the EFFIE Awards ceremony.

The 2005 Global EFFIE Winners included Apple Computer Inc. and its longtime agency TBWAChiatDay for the iPod “Silhouettes” campaign (Gold), adidas and 180TBWA for the “impossible is nothing” campaign (Silver) and Procter & Gamble and Leo Burnett for the Tampax Compak “True Stories” campaign (Bronze).
