Health and Human Services has Ruled that Security Administrators have a Greater Role in Compliance for Communication Security with HIPAA

SafetySend is a HIPAA and GLB compliance utility for business entities and professionals requiring maximum communication security under HHS judgment. HHS rulings of January 31, 2009 and enforceable March 1, 2009. The latest ruling removes the utility as an enforcement component of the covered entity. Security Administrators of the covered entity are now solely responsible for addition, deletion, and support of the users of the covered entity. No other system allows real time compliance updates, global access and allows conformance to regulatory requirements for secure electronic communication, documents and file transfer. HIPAA is the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. GLB is the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act

The required administrative modules are in place and include: Password retrievals, VPN secure messaging, file transfer; a secure electronic Lockbox for critical documents; Outlook integration, secure messaging, variable algorithm encryption and secure mobile connection with all known PDA's, and a defined Audit Trail capability

The new modules are proprietary technology and unique to Safety Send. The secure document and file transfer system is designed as a complete communication system and can establish Private Domains branded to the client.
