VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 2001--In response to customer requests, Coastal Training Technologies has produced a new 13-minute training video designed to help organizations worldwide respond to the growing threats of anthrax.

Anthrax Awareness was released November 2, selling more than 800 copies in its first week. The video helps organizations educate their workforce about recognizing and responding to potential anthrax threats, and demonstrates precautions to take in the event of anthrax exposure. Training content is based on the latest available information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

Topics include:

-- What is Anthrax and how is it transmitted?

 -- Symptoms and treatments

-- What to do in case of exposure

 -- Anthrax vaccine

 -- Suspicious packages and letters

According to Coastal's executive vice president Phil Price, Anthrax Awareness is the first of seven training videos in Coastal's new Responding to the Threat of Terrorism series. ``Following the attacks in New York and Washington, our customers started requesting products that could help them protect their employees from terrorist threats,'' Price said. ``We realized that this issue was something all corporations, hospitals, schools and government would be forced to face.''

Other video titles in the Responding to the Threat of Terrorism series include:

 -- Biohazard/Chemical Attack

-- Facility Security: The Critical Link

 -- Emergency Action Plan

-- Biohazard Health Risks for Healthcare

 -- Diversity

 -- and Fear

``We produced Anthrax Awareness in three weeks and a day,'' said Coastal vice president of production Nancy Kondas, ``from beginning research to final edits.'' That compares with a routine production schedule of six months.
