Advanced Systems, Inc. Awarded VETS GWAC Task Order to Update the Veterans Administration Master Case Index Database

Award is part of the Veterans Technology Services Government-wide Acquisition Contract (VETS GWAC) for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

In a statement issued today, Advanced Systems, Inc.'s (ASI) President, Dr. Robert Walker, announced that ASI been awarded a task order by the Veterans Administration Office of Inspector General (OIG) under the General Services Administration's (GSA) VETS GWAC contract. ASI is a prime contractor under the VETS GWAC, which provides an extensive set of technology services to the Federal Government. The VETS GWAC is the major vehicle for implementing Public Law 108-183 (Veterans Benefit Act of 2003) that establishes a goal of three percent of the value of all federal procurements for SDVOSBs and the President's Executive Order 13360, Contracting with Service-Disabled Veterans Businesses.

The VA Office of Inspector General maintains an enterprise database system known as the Master Case Index (MCI). This database contains information pertaining to VA OIG investigations, healthcare inspections, audits and hotline complaints as well a secondary personnel data. As specified in the task order, ASI will install and configure an Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) in the production environment and replicate that environment in the Disaster Recovery environment. ASI will also provide technical specifications on security configuration and controls for the Security Certification and Accreditation document for the Production and the Disaster Recovery environments.
