ShoreGroup Announces the Successful Deployment and General Release of its New CaseSentry Architecture for Major Enterprise and Service Provider Management Scalability

New distributed architecture expands both the management capacity and flexibility of ShoreGroup's leading CaseSentry Systems Management platform

New York, NY. (PRWEB) April 28, 2010 -

ShoreGroup, Inc., a premier unified communications and systems management solutions provider, today announced that it has introduced and deployed its new CaseSentry High Scalability Architecture. This enhanced architecture substantially expands management scalability to address very large enterprise and service provider environments supporting unified communications and collaboration networks. The general release follows the successful deployment of the new architecture to manage the unified communications and contact center network of one of the largest service providers in the world.

"Exploring potential improvements to our management architecture is a never-ending process at ShoreGroup," said Jason Kaplan, Director of Software Development at ShoreGroup. "We're extremely excited and pleased with the performance data that we've obtained from our CaseSentry High Scalability Architecture deployment. In addition, based on our lab benchmarking results, the architecture can manage more than 250,000 devices in its base configuration, and with the extensibility of the modular design, we can grow the capacity exponentially from there. This paves the way for us to meet the most demanding management requirements of the largest enterprise and service provider environments."

CaseSentry's High Scalability Architecture not only enables the management of larger volumes of systems and devices, but also addresses the increasing number of automated tests that CaseSentry performs to determine the precise health and performance of today's most complex unified communications applications and networks. The architecture extends the proprietary and patented intelligence currently within the CaseSentry platform to logically load balance the testing within major networks by geographical location, size of the network, technologies and applications being managed, or even a client's organizational structure. The efficiency of the High Scalability Architecture enables a snapshot of all managed systems to be continually communicated to the core architecture for in-depth analysis. Within the new CaseSentry architecture, clients continue to have a centralized point of access and view to the health and performance of the information technology that is vital to their business.

"Our new CaseSentry High Scalability Architecture allows the largest networked organizations currently using a number of disparate management systems to consolidate management to a single CaseSentry platform. This is significant in that problems can be isolated more quickly within interdependent applications," said Kelly Ronan, ShoreGroup's Director of Managed Services. "Through the deployment of our distributed CaseSentry architecture to conduct comprehensive testing of systems, applications and networks, the solution seamlessly maintains a single management view. Our first deployment of the high scalability design certainly put the architecture to the test. The managed environment is an extremely large converged network with tens of thousands of health and performance checks being conducted and validated every few minutes. CaseSentry is monitoring thousands of servers, the suite of Cisco Unified Communications applications, one of the largest Cisco MeetingPlace collaboration deployments, and 60 large-scale contact centers using Cisco Customer Voice Portal (CVP), Cisco Unified Intelligent Contact Management Enterprise (ICME) and Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE) applications. The results show that we're utilizing only a small percentage of the new architecture's management capacity, providing significant room for growth."

CaseSentry's patented architecture provides a powerful foundation from which a variety of systems and application management capabilities are performed, including monitoring, diagnosing and documenting problems that impact systems and processes within a complex network environment. The capabilities reside on a single platform that contains the fully integrated service management, systems management and workflow automation capabilities that organizations need to effectively manage and support their vital networked systems and applications, unified communications, contact centers and complex end-to-end business process transactions. The CaseSentry Systems Management solution is available as part of a comprehensive and cost-effective service that includes complete systems management consultation, implementation, maintenance and change administration. The platform is also a core component to ShoreGroup's ShorePatrol Remote Management Service (RMS) and other services offered by the company under OEM agreements with major worldwide network equipment manufacturing and service organizations.
