Sports beverage company signs distribution deal with International Health Investments

Gilbert, AZ (PRWEB) February 21, 2008

Gilbert, Ariz. - February 21, 2008 - WheyUP, the Original Protein Drink with Energy, continued its aggressive global distribution campaign by signing a deal with International Health Investments, a distributor of quality sports supplements and nutritional products to gyms, health food stores and retail stores throughout Australia.

WheyUP represents a breakthrough in the sports drink market. It combines 20 grams of whey protein with an energy formula in a sugar-free, non-carbonated beverage. WheyUP will be sold in ready-to-drink 16-ounce plastic bottles and 12 packs in two flavors: wild berry and tropical citrus.

"Part of our distribution strategy is to sell WheyUP around the world, so we're excited to be partnering with International Health Investments," said WheyUP's inventor and co-founder Erik Rothchild. "IHI has a great reputation throughout Australia, so this arrangements will help put WheyUP in the hands of health and fitness-minded Australians."

Now in its fifth year in business, IHI is Australia's largest specialist nutritional product company. Whey UP will be co-branded with Australia's most popular sports nutrition brand, Redbak Supplements, to get maximum impact in the market place. Redbak is regarded as the premium sports/health brand available at health food stores, gyms, drug stores and selected supermarkets in Australia.

"We are very excited to be partnering with a revolutionary new sports beverage like WheyUP," said George Papanikolaou, the president of International Health Investments. "This is a great-tasting and functional product that Australians will find very appealing. We are confident that WheyUP will be an extremely popular drink in Australia."

The fitness industry recommends consuming a minimum of 20g of whey protein prior to working out. Many individuals are also seeking a boost of energy - whether it's coffee, an energy drink or caffeine pills - to intensify their workout. With WheyUP, getting energized and adding healthy protein to a diet has never been easier.

WheyUP is targeted toward health-conscience individuals and fitness enthusiasts. It is ideal for fat-loss programs, exercise programs, weight-training programs, athletic activities, and as part of a healthy, active lifestyle.

"With 20 grams of protein, zero fat and only 1 gram of carbs, WheyUP is the perfect drink for people on carb-conscience diets," Rothchild said. "It's a great way to add protein to your diet and energy to your day."
