K'NEX, an international leader in the construction toy industry, announced a fundraising initiative benefiting The United Way. K’NEX is donating 10% of sales from KNEX. com during the month of February to the North Penn United Way chapter and accepting additional donations through its website.

“We’re proud to support The United Way again this year,” said Michael Araten, president of K’NEX Brands. “The recent tragedy in Haiti underscored the importance of gratitude and giving back. Raising funds for an organization like The United Way which provides vital aid around the world is more important now than ever.”

The partnership allows K’NEX to contribute directly to The United Way’s goal of producing results in the areas of education, income and health. Like many other aid organizations, the United Way is responding to the tragedy in Haiti. The United Way’s role is to support long-term recovery efforts to rebuild lives and infrastructure devastated by the disaster in Haiti and to help residents address educational, financial and health-related challenges.
