HealthMark will present new product for online clincal consent and discuss how to address market barriers for SBIR grantees at annual NIH SBIR conference.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) invited Susan Brink, Dr. PH. Partner, of HealthMark Multimedia, to serve on the panel, "Tales from the Trenches in Behavioral Research," during the NIH/NCI 7th Annual SBIR/STTR Conference, Bethesda, MD, July 28-29. Dr. Brink served as the Principal Investigator (PI) for 13 Phase I and 7 Phase II grants. Under her guidance HealthMark has brought a number of patient education and treatment decision tools to market.

This interactive panel of successful SBIR research grantees will focus on the commercialization of behavioral/educational/technology products developed from SBIR grant. The panel will address these 5 questions of how to:

Find potential backers before submitting a Phase II proposal Work with potential end-users to identify content, distribution and marketing issues Sell to specific markets, even if users want free products Address market barriers and get around them Track the success of products in the marketplace.
